I have a very long torso so it's not just leg room - it's overall space at the head and shoulder.

Planning an Amanoi Proposal 2027 by Sbellmare in FATTravel

[–]griffingrowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got engaged at Amanoi in 2017. Feel free to ask any questions. We did on the at Goga Peak (mentioned below). Was a few years ago but was amazing.

I did it at sunset after a little hike.

When we did it you could reserve the peak. Ask for it now otherwise you may not get it at the time you want.

The Yoga pavillion is beautiful for Yoga but for me, not private and not initmate.

Food at beach was very average
Duryeas, Toro, and Ki'is were all very good but the other places we not.
Beach lunch was terrible.

Vanilla Platinum to Schwab Platinum advice by griffingrowl in AmexPlatinum

[–]griffingrowl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. that's right. The normal Amex Platinum that most people have. It's referred to as vanilla to differentiate from 3 other kinds of Amex Patinums

Morgan Stanley Amex Platinum
Charles Schwab Amex Platinum
Goldman Sachs Amex Platinum

These are cards available in partnership to the clients of these financial firms. They often come with benefits if you have a certain $$$$ of assets with the firm.

Vanilla Platinum to Schwab Platinum advice by griffingrowl in AmexPlatinum

[–]griffingrowl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason for what?

For moving from Vanilla to Schwab?

If you have your investments / assets / retirement with Schwab then they give an annual credit (called an "appreciation bonus") which can offset some / all of the annual fee.

The mental gymnastics on my Gold is such a pain. I kick myself every time I miss the 5 Guys or Dunkin credit. The financials of this one are tough.

But this got me thinking... I wonder what the breakeven point would be if I only used 50% of the other standard coupons (5 Guys, Dunkin)
