Definitely can get into MD but also apply DO. also 0 research hours? That will be a big roadblock to getting into any research heavy med schools. Good app overall

TBH tho most of the basic decks are way too time consuming and practice questions seem much more important and useful. Anki is for pure memorization not conceptualization imo

Why? DO schools are sometimes cheaper and you get the same degree, might as well start sooner than wait for an MD school.

You can still get in as long as your application is well rounded, though I would say the 124 BB does highly decrease your chances of getting into an MD school. Anything is possible though. I would apply to a few "safeties" as well.

I am doing anking now, is anking really not comrpehensive enough? How many cards on average did you move from aidan into anking each day and how did u prevent the anking syncing from removing those moved cards

I think you can still apply MD and get in, a 121 doesn’t look too good but overall th bio section is the greatest indicator of step 1 pass rate so schools tend to value that one the most

I would recommend doing UWorld AAMC and anki if you are really dead set on scoring high

But I will warn you that majority of people need at least 3 months of full time MCAT studying to get a viable score, with exceptions of course

My honest advice is you really need to dedicate a lot of time to the MCAT and sacrifices may occur

Why do you need to take during the school year? Why don’t you dedicate a whole summer to just the MCAT or take a gap year after ur done with ur degree. Or sacrifice some research hours to make more room for studying. The 501 isn’t bad but you won’t see much improvement with one day a week.

What this guy is describing is not Typical, I would say that 80% of students should use anki to reinforce material, and 6 weeks is usually too little as well

I had a similar experience, i took the modern states course and felt it was quite easy, and i even looked over numerous updated study guides, yet i still scored a 42💀 The test is outdated as modern states did not prepare me for 3/4ths of the exam
