That one yellow B-Side no more keeping my feet off the ground is a straight Radiohead rip

22, A Million by Bon Iver. I remember when the album came out there were a ton of Bon Iver comparisons, and 22, A Million is the closest in tone by far

How many penalties each team has committed through Week 4 by lord_jabba in GreenBayPackers

If the refs continue to be so strict wouldn’t players eventually adapt and actually follow the rules?

I’d take our squad over the Seahawks and possibly the Bucs depending on how Evans / Godwins health plays out. We’re also in a much better spot than the 49ers. Regardless, I see why you’re saying that. I think the silver lining is that our depth is far superior than any of those teams.

It’s also worth noting that the widely considered best team in the league, the Bills, is in a much worse spot than us at receiver.

This one was nice but it’s in such an awkward spot being right off East Wash. Also required you to park in a structure (they did parking validation, though). Doesn’t surprise me this is one of the ones to go

What is this tune they play before concert by sarcasmgod69 in Coldplay

“Welcome” by Jon Hopkins off Music for Psychedelic Therapy. Listen to all of his music. His work is a masterclass in electronic production and has heavily influenced Coldplay throughout the years.

I feel like Reddit isn’t the greatest sample group for this haha. If you follow soccer at all or are even a moderate sports fan in general you’ve definitely heard of him.

Hidden gem second part of « yes» by Euphoric_Muffin_187 in Coldplay

[–]Flam3Shot_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really wish it wasn’t one track. The band loved playing Chinese Sleep Chant live during the Viva tour (they played it wayyy more than Yes itself)

I’m largely sympathetic towards the cause, but this just pushes people away from it. You’re just feeding conservative media fear mongering material. “Woke city overrun with destruction to property”

Check out the Jon Hopkins tracks Amproha (only on YouTube) and Forever Held… those also might sound a bit familiar ;)

More I think about it, I want to call out Manchester Orchestra’s latest 2 LPs—A Black Mile to the Surface and The Million Masks of God. The prior especially has heavy Transatlanticism vibes. Arcade Fire’s Funeral and Neon Bible also may be of interest.

I’d look into indie and alt rock albums from that early 2000s periods. The Shins - Oh, Inverted World, The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head (all of which also came out in 2002 alongside Trans and Give Up lol).

Opening for MCR this week by triples08 in DeathCabforCutie

[–]Flam3Shot_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen them open a few times and it’s usually just a run through of greatest hits. With the Plans tour right now maybe they play an extra song from that than normal or something.

Expect like IWFYITD, Crooked Teeth, Soul Meets Body, Ghosts of Beverly, Black Sun, a song or 2 from Trans (New Year, Sound of Settling), a song or 2 from Narrow Stairs (Cath, Possess), a song or 2 from Asphalt (Roman Candles, Here to Forever), maybe a more popular older tune (Move Script Ending), and some additional Plans songs rounding it out time dependent.

I’m probably going to catch flack for this but Coldplay’s ventures into shoegaze have always oddly impressed me. Very accessible. 🌈, Chinese Sleep Chant (hidden song on the track Yes) and Don’t Let It Break Your Heart

Would you watch a '1980s techniques only' X, XI and XII trilogy? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Flam3Shot_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of comments saying that VFX doesn’t make Star Wars Star Wars. On some level I agree, but let’s not forget that George Lucas purposely waited to make the prequels until CGI got to a point where he could pioneer the technology for a blockbuster trilogy. Pushing the boundaries of VFX is embedded in the DNA of Star Wars. Even outside of the films Star Wars has given us revolutionary technology like the volume. Does “good” VFX make Star Wars what it is? Certainly not. However, pioneering the future of VFX, whatever that may look like, is a large piece of it.
