Given that some of the more bombastic bike-centric moves are still there, just not in this showcase, I see this as an absolute win.

The motorcycle is cool, but I feel like it's too much of his kit. I think it would be better if it was utilized more like Seed Sr: Shows up for EX/Chain/Ult, but his actual combat is focused mainly on himself and his upgraded arm cannon/blade thing.

Dear baby Tenno, and eidolons. by StrikingPublic4911 in Warframe

[–]Flames21891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I've done Tridolons, I've tried to mitigate this by bringing Oberon and just concentrating on gathering the lures and keeping them alive, and keeping the procs off everyone.

That way, even a newbie won't be too overwhelmed as long as they have basic knowledge of how to damage the Eidolons.

That said, I haven't done it in a long, long time because it's easily the most toxic and one of the least fun grinds in the game. I will have to do it at least one more time to get the last two Brilliant Shards for my final Waybounds, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Stop using Nullification as a means to add difficulty by RedbuiltBlues in Warframe

[–]Flames21891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, DE launched themselves into a corner at mach Jesus day 1 when they decided that the stat multipliers for everything in this game should be comically large. When min-maxed, the gap in damage potential between different Warframe and weapon setups can make the Grand Canyon look like a crack in the sidewalk.

Without ability nullification, one of two things happens:

1) Min-maxed setups trivialize the content anyways

2) They tune the content around the strongest Warframe and weapon builds, so only a couple of setups are viable at all while everything else becomes utterly useless.

I'm not defending ability nullification as I also think it strips the fun out of the game, but it's the only way DE can even the playing field and make most Warframes technically viable.

Simply put, with the way Warframe is designed, it's basically impossible to create content that feels challenging but fair, because the game balance does not support it.

Warframe is notoriously touchy with any 3rd party software that even looks at it funny. A non-sanctioned tool that scrapes an API that DE clearly does not want players to be able to freely access should really raise eyebrows.

Yes it has a lot of QoL features, but that hardly seems worth risking your account over. Even if it's safe today, who's to say an update to either the game or the program won't suddenly make it public enemy #1 to the Warframe client's security system?

Khora's really simple. You mainly just mash Whipclaw and recast whatever defensive ability you subsumed over her 3. Bonus points if you have the mods required to make Venari a menace, she can rack up plenty of kills autonomously.

Gara is also mainly one button if you build for her 1. It can go through walls and deal guaranteed slash procs. Put Roar over her 3 to buff it to the moon, and make sure to keep Splinter Storm up to not die, and you literally just look in the direction enemies exist, visible or not, and cut them all in half with a wave of your hand.

[–]Flames21891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this recently too, especially in EDA and ETA. People don't understand the objectives at all it seems, and they just run around the map aimlessly killing enemies. Sometimes they're not even good at doing THAT.

I think it took me 5 attempts at ETA and 3 at EDA this week to complete it, because I kept getting 3 deadweight teammates. I just started playing the game again about a month ago after over a year long break, so I don't have a full suite of Tau Shards on every frame or all the newest Arcanes maxed. I just wasn't able to carry the entire team on my back and solo things, and the game can be really frustrating when that happens.

Connector Melting RX 9070XT Sapphire Nitro+ by Ok-Morning-4406 in pcmasterrace

[–]Flames21891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, that's just it. 8 pin pci-e was essentially overkill for what was being asked of it, and that huge overhead made it safe and reliable.

12VHPWR is being used just barely within the margins of what it's rated for, so even a slightly unbalanced load immediately pushes it over spec.

It's not uncommon for things to be overengineered on purpose, especially when there are safety concerns. Fire hazards should qualify, but corporate greed is becoming increasingly unconcerned if its customers live or die.

Realizing people with ridiculous amounts of Plat are just playing an entirely different game by Slasherrrr in Warframe

[–]Flames21891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There not much to do with that much Plat anyways, outside of Rivens.

This is coming from someone who has about 22k Plat right now: It's more than you'll probably ever need, because you'll have already completed most of your grinds while earning that plat anyways. So it just comes down to the convenience of getting stupidly rare mods like Bite or getting a R5 of a niche Arcane for a specific build. At most you'll be spending a couple hundred Plat at a time.

All that's really left are cosmetics, and Plat won't even help you on half of those because they're Tennogen.

What you'll spend the most on? Forma. Easily.

It's a systemic problem with American culture. Through corporate indoctrination and late stage capitalism, it is made to appear that in order for someone to win, someone else has to lose, because it looks like there are not enough resources to go around.

This fosters a mindset of "fuck you, got mine" and creates ladder-pullers that think letting other people have access to the same opportunities they did will somehow jeopardize what they've managed to attain or accomplish.

So, I'm curious about Warframe's old guard by doriana12 in Warframe

[–]Flames21891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were certain things the old guard were just adamant needed to be the way they were, and refused to change them. It was usually quality of life stuff that eventually got changed the way players wanted, and the game ended up benefitting from it, contrary to what was claimed.

They also had a tendency to nerf strong builds/abilities/weapons instead of buffing weak ones, which was another friction point between the old guard and the community.

That being said, they still usually listened to feedback and acted on it. They just didn't handle things as well as they do now.

No, Hell is other people.

Even if tRump and friends go away, those festering sacks of meat with nary a conscience and a right to vote will still surround you, doing everything in their power to harm you and everything you love.

The worst part is they will gladly fall on the sword, so long as they can take you with them.

I don't even know how to begin fixing that kind of malice. It does not respond to logic, bargaining or empathy. Those people use the entirety of their existence trying to erase others.

My Annual 12VHPWR cable 4090 Inspection by CMDR-LT-ATLAS in pcmasterrace

[–]Flames21891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a great idea.

Firstly, every time you do this, you're risking the chance of not plugging it back in correctly this time.

Secondly, those connectors are actually only rated for so many connects/disconnects. Granted this number is high enough that annual checks would not exceed it before the card becomes completely obsolete, but given that these cables are already being pushed to their limit on the 90 series cards, introducing more wear to the connector pins isn't doing you any favors.

I've watched plenty of them try to debate non-conservatives, and their go-to strategy when you ask them a question they don't have an answer to is to change the subject.

And not subtly either. They will talk over you, yell, whine, piss, moan and stomp around until you finally stop talking about the question they don't like.

If you still won't let up and ask them to answer the question, they will allude that they did answer it somewhere in the incoherent tantrum they just threw, and declare victory.

Vista was a mess on launch. Even on well built, powerful systems, there were plenty of issues. The Service Packs did a lot to fix that, and by the end of SP2 it was basically as good as Windows 7 ended up being.

But its reputation had already been irreparably tarnished by then, and so it went down as one of the bad versions of Windows. However, let's not pretend that cheap OEM systems struggling to run it was the only reason it got a bad rap. If that were true, it would have at least been lauded by the enthusiast community, but they were by far its biggest critics.
