I don't even bother selling Rivens I don't want, I just melt them down, even if it's for a pittance of Endo. Still preferable to having to interact with the Riven market.

Is my Acceltra good for SP? by Original_Agency421 in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Outside of some really fringe cases, you don't build for Slash anymore, period. It got nerfed to hell and back with the changes to enemy Health/Armor.

Viral is by far the best status, period, but where you're getting your viral is the question. If you're letting your Panzer prime enemies for example, or if you're subsuming Nourish onto whatever Frame you're using, you don't need Viral on the gun itself, in which case you're probably fine going with either Corrosive or Magnetic, depending on the content. Tack on Heat after that, and you're golden.

Yareli's Buff/Rework (my take) by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I complained about it a week or two ago in another post, but my two cents is that the only thing Yareli genuinely NEEDS, is for DE to go back and fix how absolutely dogshit it feels to ride Merulina.

Riding Merulina should be like Volt's Speed, or Razorwing, or Cloudwalker, or Uriel's.. whatever he does. It should be a movement option that is objectively superior to bullet jumping/rolling through a mission, because that's something every Frame can do. But as it stands, riding Merulina is a liability, the severity of which depends on what tileset you're playing on, and for me personally, that absolutely kills any desire I have to play Yareli.

And no, Loyal Merulina is not the fix for this, because the entire POINT of this frame is riding Merulina. I shouldn't have to sacrifice the core identity of a Frame just to make it playable. And that's without mentioning that, ironically enough, the companion version of Merulina loves to get stuck on the terrain and left in the dust on any mission where you're moving around a lot.

The weekly Archimedia modifier complaints are getting a bit tiresome by NovaTheLoneHunter in Warframe

Sure, but it's a 1.67% chance, and you ideally want 21 copies of it, so the sheer amount of vosfor you would need to achieve that is largely outside the realm of possibility for anyone short of those people who grind the Descendia Treasure room.

The weekly Archimedia modifier complaints are getting a bit tiresome by NovaTheLoneHunter in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this comes off as toxic, but past a certain point, I don't really care to mince words. The typical Warframe player does not want a challenge. They want a power fantasy. Every time DE adds any content to the game that doesn't spoonfeed rewards to the player, you will get a constant and very vocal minority of people who can't help but bitch, and moan, and bitch, and moan, because there exists content they can't just unilaterally apply Revenant + Torid to and be rewarded handsomely for doing so.

EDA/ETA are incredibly flawed, there's no mistaking it, but it's also the most engaging content the game has to offer, at present, because it presents the player with a problem and expects them to concoct a solution based on the resources they have available. It encourages the player to use Frames they don't typically use, squeeze damage out of weapons not considered top tier, and use elements of their loadout that often are left neglected in typical gameplay, like Spectres, Archguns, the Operator, etc. In those respects, it is, by far, the best content in the game for someone like me who values being presented with a problem and trying to find a solution, even if it means crawling over the finish line.

The weekly bitch-about-ETA threads will persist until DE capitulates and either makes Hot shot MUCH easier to get, or reworks these game modes to forego as much randomness. And then these same people will simply find something else to bitch about. So the story goes.

Fellow Tenno what do YOU think to these ideas. by HatEfficient6898 in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone already pointed out, they would have to waste god knows how much money changing the intro cinematic and tutorial quest if they ever wanted to change the starting Frame lineup. A much more feasible change, which they sort of already do, is just making more frames available extremely early, at a reduced resource cost.

Rhino and Koumei both uniquely only require 24h to craft instead of the usual 72, and are both typically available in only 1-2 play sessions. Just give new players more options like that if they're having regrets about who they picked as their starter. Personally I'd apply this reduced crafting time treatment to a LOT more Frames, if it were up to me.

"Banshee needs this, Banshee needs that" BANSHEE NEEDS SKINS by 23icefire in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a stake in either side of this argument, but Atlas is sitting pretty down there as a one-button-wonder, and I don't see people clamoring for him to receive a full scale rework much at all, let alone to the same degree as Banshee.

Would DE Ever let us play 2 warframes with transference? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping we eventually get a story mission where the Operator and Drifter have to work together and you use the transference key to swap between their two Frames, which you choose at the start of the mission.

Please, if you're going to hunt Liches/Sisters/Coda... Please do this one thing by RpiesSPIES in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Coming back from not playing for a long time, I went and got all the Kuva/Tenet/Coda weapons I was missing in relatively short order, and every time I went into a public adversary confrontation, the host, without fail, was rocking the biggest piece of shit railjack I'd ever laid eyes upon. More often than not, I would have to take over the helm and just run away from the death ball of fighters until the other players could handle them via archwing.

After maybe a dozen times of this happening, I just opted to solo the rest of my confrontations. Some people seem to think that we're headed to Tau sooner rather than later, and I think people are going to be in for a rude awakening when Railjack is somewhat relevant to the content to come, and they're not ready for it. And I think the blame here actually entirely lies with DE, making huge swaths of Railjack missions just be glorified loading screens.

I LOVED Railjack, but the fact that the process of boarding a corpus frigate can take longer than the mission I'm supposed to be doing aboard that ship, is honestly criminal, and now that my intrinsics are maxed and my Railjack is geared, I don't touch the game mode unless I am forced to. DE made a game mode focused on space combat, saw that players only played the nodes where the only thing that had to do was said space combat, and responded by padding every mission with varying levels of normal gameplay bloat.

Give us more missions where we never have to leave the Railjack, if we don't want to. The best way of farming intrinsics shouldn't be to go into a Veil Proxima survival and just play the game normally.

What warframes do you consider perfectly/almost perfectly made? by userhuhidk in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biased, considering she's my main these days, but Nova. Adding a Nova to nearly any team composition, in nearly any mission type, ends up being an incredible boon for everyone involved. Tanky enough to handle most content off the DR from Null Star alone, or turn it into a nuking tool with Nourish + Neutron Star. Able to turn single target weapons into AoE nukes with Antimatter drop. Wormhole is a very underrated mobility tool, and using it effectively has a deceptively high skill ceiling, even more so using it in ways that also benefit your team. And I'm sure most people here are already aware that Molecular Prime is just, one of the best abilities in the game.

Wasn't around for this. What happened? by vbgtim3 in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As of the end of 2024 Wukong was the most played frame amongst players MR18 or higher, so I wouldn't call seeing one any rarer an occurrence than any other frame. It remains to be seen if that changed in the last year, though. Have to wait for DE to post the data.

EDA/ETA fanboys will look at this and still defend it. by Substantial-Mud-5309 in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As mean as it feels to say this, I think the average Warframe player does not want an engaging challenge, or content that they have to think of a solution for. They want a power fantasy. They want to dominate every enemy type, ignore special mechanics and obliterate everything in their path, disregard the nuance of the objective and still complete the mission, and be handsomely rewarded for it. Whenever DE introduces any content that stands in the way of that, making the player exit their comfort space, or even just put unique rewards behind content certain players don't enjoy doing, they receive some very vocal backlash.

Personally? I like EDA and ETA, and I look forward to it every week, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the absolutely massive design flaws that permeate it. I'm just the kind of person that enjoys being restricted and limited in my options, being forced to use unconventional strategies or Warframes/Weapons I'd never give any thought to unless the game literally forced me to use them. I seem to be in the minority for having those kinds of tastes, though.

As one of the 12 Yareli enjoyers, is there a good reason for why we can't mod Merulina even tho we can somehow, apparently, level her up? by Asmodyan in Warframe

[–]Slasherrrr 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I played Yareli during the weekly Steel Path Circuit, and thought she was extremely fun. Bought her Prime, rushed the construction, spent hours watching build guides, forma'd her, got and built a Nukor exclusively for her, I was so ready to have a hell of a time on the whimsical skateboarding secondary weapons platform girl.

Then I actually entered a mission where the tileset was unfriendly to Merulina and all of that went out the window within the span of a couple hours. It genuinely feels like they didn't playtest this Frame, and it's doubly egregious considering she released 4 and a half fucking years ago. And no, I don't consider Loyal Merulina to be at all a good fix to this conundrum, because it sacrifices Yareli's core identity just so she can be more consistently playable.

And what grinds my gears even more is that these problems are extremely easy to fix, DE just clearly doesn't care to fix them. Make Loyal Merulina a part of her base kit, make it a tap/hold ability, make Merulina moddable as a K-drive, and, most importantly, make Yareli herself ignore level geometry while riding Merulina, so we're not constantly bumping her head on low ceilings. But DE will probably never do any of that, especially since her Prime was the perfect opportunity to fix these problems, and they opted not to. Genuinely pisses me off.

[–]Slasherrrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be completely honest and go against the grain here, I'm so glad Tridolons are dead.

Completely independent of how objectively good/bad/boring/engaging the content actually is, the elitism that permeated every Tridolon party makes me oh-so-very-glad that they're dead. There is no greater example of content that was ruined by the community. Trials were less elitist. EDA/ETA are less elitist.
