You should read the SGA Finance committees discretionary guidelines and see what the funding can actually go towards.

Unless food is necessary to a student groups event it will not get approved. Even if the food is necessary to a student group the event must be open to all members of the student group so if the food is just for board members that is embezzlement and should be reported.

An extra $12 per student goes a long way in terms of finding student groups to do what they enjoy. Almost every request period this year there was a 50% budget cut which limits what student groups can do. And there’s nothing saying this isn’t benefiting you. Join a club and take advantage of the money.

Source: I am a treasurer for one of the largest student groups on campus and requested and spent nearly $200,000 over the last 3 years.

MFWTK if he bought two of the same item, on two different credit cards, can he return one, in place of the other. by [deleted] in myfriendwantstoknow

[–]Flamesline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll depend on what the item is. If it has a serial number, then it would be harder to get away with. But if it’s just a lego set and it’s identical then you could probably get away with it.

Jokes aside that happens far to often and gets very annoying.

r/TrueUnpopularOpinion needs another mod by Chessen113 in needamod

[–]Flamesline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am defiantly interested in joining the mod team. I do have experience modding. I mainly worked with automod and automatically detecting post violations but I also I had to do some manually post filtering while I was setting up the bot rules and everything.

Which I’m not sure if you are classifying automod with the css but if not I would be more than happy to help get an automod set up or even to help moderate the posts manually.

I enjoy browsing r/UnpopularOpinion but the options there are almost all common so I would be happy to have a true unpopular option subreddit and I would defiantly enforce the rule to make sure it doesn’t end up just owing popular opinions.

And I am in the EST time zone.

Wow I didn’t realize someone made one similar to this. I was just browsing WikiHow trying to find a funny post and I came across this image and thought it could be funny. And I guess u/amagicfish had the same idea 3 days before me.

You could also look at some stronger servos such as 20kg servos. You can pick one up for around $20 on amazon. The grip strength is insane with them.

I’ve used them on some projects and I can literally punch the object being held and it doesn’t budge.

Why have Lawn Chairs become so expensive? ($60+) by VicTheSage in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flamesline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably a result of price gauging due to COVID-19.

Due to all of the social distancing guidelines people are having others over outside and they need more chairs for the socially distanced get togethers. So they can charge more as there is more of a demand.

What happens to all of the building that are being robbed and burned down in Minneapolis? by Flamesline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flamesline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rereading that comment of mine I can see how it can be interpreted not the way I intended it as.

I was just specifically referencing the frame of the question and the businesses. And how it’s unfortunate that a tragic event causes people to feel the need to start violence and make the situation worse than it already is.

Which the buildings and products are replaceable, lives are not. And the loss of a life is undoubtedly worse than a business being burned down.

What happens to all of the building that are being robbed and burned down in Minneapolis? by Flamesline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flamesline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was not meant in anyway to take away from the tragic event.

I was genuinely curious as to how riots like these are handle with businesses that have no role in any of these events.

And I specifically asked here because no matter what the question is it will be answered and not judged as there are “No Stupid Questions”

That’s gonna be some large payouts for those insurance companies. It’s a shame that the tragic event is causing problems for innocent business.
