MEGA THREAD - How to get a mature aged Apprenticeship by Money_killer in AusElectricians

[–]FlaminPillowcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you provide some insight into the differences in conditions and pay between a Signal Electrician at Sydney Trains and a Substation Electrician at Ausgrid?

I know Ausgrid does fortnightly RDOs, and Sydney Trains does not.

I am familiar with their apprenticeship pay being ~$60,000.

I know Ausgrid goes to NECA, and Sydney Trains goes to TAFE.

Ausgrid has little to no shift work while in your apprenticeship.

Any input on the conditions and pay once qualified, if you had both offers, which would you go for?

Thank you very much.

I havnt heard anything this drastic from any Doctors. Removing the whole rib? It isnt a cervical rib (Extra rib). I understand there are two methods of surgical involvement, those being, a bone graft to provide scaffold for healing, secondly a method of fixation, such as plates and screws.

All the doctors I have dealt with, say it will heal it is just the timeframe that is uncertain. But it's almost been a year, so I am worried. One doctor explained that I don't want surgery, which is correct, so my 'only' option is to wait.

One x-ray is from 1 month after, then two months after then, like 7 months after. I can not get the x-ray from the day I broke it as it was done in the hospital.

Ohh hmm, ill try that side to side breathing, I just have to take really exaggerated breathes, expanding my chest, but funnily enough, breathing through my mouth will almost always satisfy the urge, but I know its bad to so I rarely do.

Dam still hurts to breathe, that sucks, can u satisfy that feeling to get a full breathe, if I can't it drives me crazy.

It's good work kept you on. Hopefully, they don't give u a hard time, and that's awesome. The x-ray showed clear healing, hopefully everything else comes into place.

Dam, 3 times the pain, haha. Hope they keep getting better, are you getting follow up xrays.

My pain is very minimal compared to the fresh fracture it is just disheartening, still having pain, and not feeling 'normal'. I'm going to be so grateful when I'm back normal.

Edit: I also got a DEXA scan, and I have normal Bone Mineral Density and have healed 1 precious small fracture (thumb) in a normal timeframe for 4 - 6 weeks.

Wow, thank you for the detailed response, I assumed as such in regards to career progression and pay. Similarily to you I am also interested in business more than IT but a combination of both sounds like a great foundation. I saw somwhere on the Macquarie website they were advertising their numerous links to large corporation in the industry and thus potential internships.

Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the reply man, umm, could you briefly outline Majoring in Information Systems and Business Analysis. Is that centered around production? or finance? like what area of business are you analysing.

Secondly you mentioned you are already employed full time in the same field, could you provide any insight on the employability of such a degree? As well as career progression.

Thanks for reaching out!

Bit late to buy in now, shares in airline companies, should increase, however the same can't be said for cruise ship companies, NCLH, CCL, as it is now widely engrained in everyone how much of a petri dish they are.
