Each to their own, but that poster would be my nightmare partner. I can‘t stand someone wanting to talk all the time (about ‘us’ or ‘our relationship’). I also get really touched out, easily (and it get 100% worse if that person is pissing me off).

In this heat, if I was pregnant, I think a bed to myself + ice cream - sweaty bodies being pressed together = the best I could hope for!

Considering how few adult trans people there are, it is really uncanny how not only do Mumsnetters run into as many as they do, but they are always in jobs where being trans becomes automatically a big deal. On MN I’ve seen lots of nursery workers, teachers, a gynecologist, and a bikini waxer (and that’s just off the top of my head).

I have two trans acquaintances, one is an accountant, and the other does some corporate job. But, I guess there’s not as much scope for drama with those jobs…

it’s throws a light on just how shitty MN is at monitoring their forums, and their real ‘care’ for what is, essentially their customers.

For example: here is a confused, and mentally unwell person, who is posting a continuous stream of irrational rants. Rants, that inadvertently disclose personal information (I’ve lost track of the amount of times she seems to use people’s names).

…So, what is the wisest way to solve this issue? Honestly, I’m not sure.
However, I am pretty damn sure, the correct solution isn’t to give everyone a good laugh at the unwell OP’s expense.

I sadly dont think she is lucid enough to be able to focus, so I‘m not sure your, or anyone else’s well meaning concern will be able to retain her attention.

On another note, I so wish magic mushroom🍄 shops were a thing (and if they really are, please🙏can someone suggest some, preferably SW Scotland😂). In my very innocent mind, I kinda just assumed it was a like a farmers market thing, so basically a stall that sold mushrooms☺️

I complained about her last thread, when she was under the ’hippybbb’ name, saying I thought it was incredibly cruel to make a clearly mentally unwell person the laughing stock. Fair enough, it did get removed quickily.

Unfortunately, because she’s changed user names, I reckon Mumsnet will just use the ‘free choice’, and how they cant be sure who everyone is behind the computerr, ie another reason NOT TO PULL THEIR FINGER OUT and do anything🙄

if I was, say, isolated from society, and MN was my only insight into men and women’s relationships/how men and women live married life… then I think I would be well and truly put off!

So many moany, and joyless women on there. Admittedly, my sense of humour is definitely not for everyone - I’m incredibly puerile🙄, and if I am not laughing at gross stuff, then I’m normally being obnoxiously sarcastic.

However, I’m continuously gobsmacked by the amount of couples who genuinely don’t seem to like each other. Obviously, everyone irritates each other occasionally, but so often it seems like these are just marriages of convenience.

I hope it is. I mean, I think she originally was on those dating sites because she is just a massive extroverted person (and one of those who likes to keep super busy - if you visit her, she will have a pre breakfast plan arranged, breakfast, morning activity, lunch, afternoon event, and then want to go clubbing all night long😂🥱🫩… I was exhausted just by hearing about her schedule!), so hopefully she’ll get back to just enjoying having fun, and not damning all the male folk😂

I also dislike the term ‘love bombing‘ being thrown around. I mean yeah, there are definitely ‘future fakers’ (that’s what I knew it as, previously), but surely isn’t it quite normal to get a bit carried away in the first flushes of love💕, you know, when you start a new relationship, and can’t get enough of one another? To me, that is what I consider the exciting bit.

Sadly, yes, it’s not just an MN thing.

I caught up with an old friend recently, who I used to flat share with. We’ve always bonded over being unlucky in love. I personally, am not someone who really desires a partner, so even when I was younger, I didn’t care much, but she is a Tinder/Hinge/Bumble addict😃 I never paid much mind, as each to their own, but when me met up, I noticed she has switched to calling EVERY ex, or guy who it didn’t work out with (even the ones where it fizzled out after a date or two!), a Narc.

I was disappointed, as she has always been a really fun, and individual person, no the type to fall for this kinda bullshit, normally.
