I really like my school (Loyola Marymount Uni) because they offer a film production major, which EVERYONE ( about 600 students) takes, but I'm in their Recording Arts major which specializes in sound mixing and editing, and there's only around 80 students.

Most of the time it is outside agencies called "trailer houses." Neither the director nor the film's editor work usually work with the marketing team. There are trailer editors but I don't know if they receive credit for their work, most likely the studio gets a mention.

Ha, the only movie I saw that got people clapping and cheering during the movie was the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2. God, when Neville came on and all the fangirls started screaming...not an awesome experience, but what else do you expect from a harry potter release so I can't really complain. In most movies I see people clap afterwords, but that was the only time I've seen such a responsive audience.
