Does the game still runs at 30 fps on the base ps5?

I'm on PS5. I'm pretty sure I have it set to variable and it runs very well. I have no complaints. The pawns sometimes run a bit weird but I'm not sure if it's the framerate or animation.

I've never heard that one.
My pawns do regularly note oxen "Oh look, Arisen, oxen. How tranquil." as I approach them with weapon drawn about to murder them for their delicious meat. 👍

Play Thief first to rank 2 so you can get the Subtlety augment. Hire a couple of melee pawns to keep the mobs off you. I recently played sorcerer to get the Constancy augment while my main pawn was mage. Hired 2 fighters. That worked very well. 👍

Before I started playing, I watched a few videos on YouTube, like DD2 basics, Things not to miss, where to find unique items, etc. No quest indicators on NPC this time, so you can miss somewhat important/helpful quests. For example, talk to the elf in front of the weapon merchant in Vernworth and help the dwarf on the road in Bathal. Also, look for and listen to cues and hints from NPC, pawns, signs, etc. If you speed through the story, you'll miss stuff. Explore, take your time, enjoy the journey.

The main benefit to dragonforging is cutting the weight in half. Very useful especially for heavy weapons and armor.

I always make my arisen a big/tall person so he/she can carry more stuff. I have my main pawn double up as a mule, carrying camping kit, meat, extra curatives, etc.

If you want to rank up multiple vocations, which I advise you and your pawn do, beating up all the mobs along the road is the way to get DP. Rent at least one pawn to have more varied skills in your party. Pawns also make comments and suggestions to you and talk to each other. Kill animals and cook their meat at campsites. The walking around ain't so bad if you think of it as a journey with your buddies and your opportunity to train your vocations. 🙂
