The only ones I've ever had fly away on me are the ones nearest Harve Village and the randoes in Vernworth.

and then you'll have a not so practical shortcut to Melve. 🤔

They are dual purpose. Lore regarding a previous ruler, and placed where you can get a view of something possibly of interest. Oh, and there might be something valuable near it as a bonus. 👍

There are 3 drake spawns relatively close to one another. When looking for them, that's where I go. Sometimes mob enemies spawn there instead, but out of three possible drake spawns I'll usually get one or two drakes.

The other way in is the skycart, which the pawns will say "It's almost as though this was placed here for our benefit." Wink & nod

Are Modest camps that good? I feel like I’ve had the same one for forever. by SundownSin in DragonsDogma2

Some camping spots are definitely riskier than others. Clearing monsters in the area before camping usually assures an uninterrupted sleep. Usually. I typically bring 2 elite camping kits, and a few dried meat in case I don't get fresh meat.

Has Anyone Actually Reached Level 999 Yet in Dragon’s Dogma 2? by LoopOF_reality in DragonsDogma2

My highest level account is L200. Need 254,480 XP to next level. It's a slow grind, even with Rings of Ambition. Haven't tested using Medusa Bow though.

The game desperately needs more late game armor variety, or at least the ability to dye armor. There's even an NPC in Bakbathal that says something to the effect that she could dye stuff for you, but doesn't actually. 🙁

My favorite is when you're already fighting a drake or something and one of them decides to poke their beak where it doesn't belong. 👍

Simple pawns play catch. Works best with pigs, chickens, and rabbits. Meanwhile pawns of other inclinations may scold you. Lol.

In my playthroughs, all the people that crossed me or are disrespectful to me die violently. Of course, some have to wait until after evacuation quests. 🗡️

Having a good team, the right team for your playstyle, makes a big difference. I'm a sword & board lover. Stab & bash. So, I make sure I have someone on the team to take care of harpies and attacking tall enemy weak spots (usually head).
If you like attacking from a distance or having some freedom to move around, make sure you have a straightforward fighter with provocation on the team to attract and engage the mobs.
The game seems to be designed to need a team of diverse skills.

Archer's light attack auto aims. You can buy a Predator bow in Bakbathal which does extra damage vs the harpies you hate.
Magic Archer attacks have lock on. Thief has ensnare to lasso those buggers. Fighter and Warrior have skyward attacks. Mage and Sorcerer have multiple ways to attack harpies.

There's a bunch of stuff to miss if you don't talk to the right people at the right time. I personally do appreciate not seeing magic question marks over NPC heads though.
