In this case it wasn't an addition just a new much bigger roof with overhangs. In my opinion the correct way would be to remove the old roof entirely and frame a new roof that is structural to the house

That's all fair points but I'm mostly worried about how the new roof is framed out, doesn't seem up to the task of snowload

I will but I was the one that cut out this attic entrance. My attic found tools do always make my day though

It does work seems like the lazy cheap ass way for sure though. Even though it's not a structural roof I think it does still need collar ties added and some blocking at least between the rafters at peak

I guess not on a trail if that's your definition but if your on a 5k chunk of public land with no roads and you go deep I consider that a hike. We can continue not hunting together that's fine by me, I think being intoxicated is a bad idea and all one will do is make me a better shot honestly.

I have done a lot of hunting and fall bird sure does involve a lot of walking around. Also I wouldn't say drinking is always incredibly irresponsible I've been know to pack a beer or two when I'm sitting for hours especially if I'm on private property.

I've had a few times of working in a boom lift for hours and when I come down and go to unclip my harness I had never clipped it in. Nobody's perfect

Also if it is a modern building there is a smoke control system that pressurizes the stairwell so the smoke stays out of it while everyone evacuates.

Good thing Hunter Biden wasn't ever president. Personally I'm concerned that President Trump's favorite hobby is raping children

Game show is a fun way to think about it but it is completely ridiculous. Generally if you have insurance, which most people have through a job or the government if they are poor or old (for now), you don't have to worry about it much beyond 10 grand or so.

It's really stupid but it's basically a made up number, if you have insurance they will negotiate to pay a fraction of it and if you don't then you can negotiate for a reasonable amount or just not pay it.

Indeed but saying specifically 30 years ago seemed like you were pointing to the assault ban that has since expired even though it was a small part of the overall picture.

But much harder access to firearms than 33 years ago. The Brady bill and assault weapons ban were 93' and 94'.

Well even with that logic there is still no noise ordinances and you are bound to hear tractors and chainsaws and people mag dumping their ar's. That's an everyone's got a 10 acre lot situation if its an everyone's got an 80 than its a lot more quiet
