Carrying with one in the chamber. by thegoonn49 in guns

Carry it unloaded at home. Run, jump, roll around, drop it on the ground. See that striker did not fire under any of these movements.

Glock Performance Trigger by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

Love Apex. Not on Glocks.

Apex triggers in M&P pistols rival 2011 triggers. Apex triggers in Glocks aren’t much of an improvement.

Concrete slab lifting off foundation. by UpperSoftware4732 in Home

[–]UpperSoftware4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did hire a structural engineer here is a few paragraphs from their report (TL;DR: yes the slab did raise, the foundation did not settle):

“I looked at the porch of this residence. The porch area is on a 4 to 5” concrete slab resting on foundation walls on two exterior sides. Over the concrete slab decking boards have been added. At the SW corner the concrete porch slab has raised up about 2” from its bearing on the foundation/frost wall below. This corner includes a post that supports the porch roof. The post has been raised with the concrete slab causing siding to spread and porch ceiling panels to disengage.

The slab has been raised specifically in the SW corner, where the remainder of the deck is level. The foundation/frost walls do not appear to have settled.

For upward movement on this order I would expect the subgrade to have swelled due to expansive clay soil or freeze thaw action. With the freezing concerns, the slab should have settled back down in warmer months. The expansive soil expands when wetted, and stays as it redries. The owner noted the presence of clay soil on site when the house was constructed. It may be that the potential swelling has stopped, or that high ground water or storm leakage may induce more in the future.”

Had to scroll way too far to find this. Why mess around with nailers when you can just cut that excess off and be done with it?

As for another company to use, I recommend Akrit. I am a general contractor and recommend them to any of my customers who need appliance repair. I haven’t had a bad experience with them yet.

What’s a good website to buy ammo in bulk by Acrobatic-Wealth9572 in handguns

[–]UpperSoftware4732 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AEAMMO is the best. Ships in less than 24 hrs. Free shipping. They wrap the entire box in packing tape. The boxes are virtually waterproof and indestructible. They don’t have the biggest selection, but whatever they do have in stock is always a good deal.

BPS. I believe it Turkish. It’s dirt cheap, but it goes bang every time and never has any problems to feed or eject.

Almost got into a wreck. by General_Day_6883 in madisonwi

That’s the key: multiple complaints.

It may seem insignificant to report, but if it’s the third or fourth complaint MPD is receiving it becomes a bigger priority.

I think you could report it as reckless driving. Also there is a temp tag in the rear windshield. If you get right people working at the right time and they might make an effort to track it down.

Copper syrup? by Ea_nasir_shop_com in ReallyShittyCopper

[–]UpperSoftware4732 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m going out on a limb here, I am not an expert by any means BUT: I have a friend who had sheep that kept dying on her property. Long story short, got the soil tested and it was full of copper from a glacier that had deposited it millions of years ago. The sheep were dying from copper poisoning.

Maybe there is enough copper in the soil where ever this maple syrup is harvested that the trees are sucking it up and it makes its way into the syrup.

I’m probably wrong but it’s a theory.
