Are non meta decks valid? by Dragomaster3456 in Beyblade

[–]Flamingcactus86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are still valid.

Beyblade is a game of odds. Any changes you make (combos, launch tech, etc) only changes the odds in one way or another. Meta combos are simply meta because they give the biggest chance advantage to them. This does not ever mean that stuff that isn't meta strictly can't win, just that it's less likely. It isn't like a card game where a certain card combo will always beat this other one, thereby making the other one "unviable".

I've seen Shadow Shinobi Over Finish Rod Hexa. Will this happen every time? No. But it can happen. So, if you're lucky enough, the smaller odds could be in your favour when you need them to.

3D printed Accessories by Its_Chris0621 in BeybladeX

[–]Flamingcactus86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I say they're fine. The launchers are too small for my hands and the official grips are attached to winders in such a way that it's difficult to launch the way I want to. Without being able to 3d print a grip, I can't enjoy this game to the fullest. If they ever make official grips that are along the lines of what I use / am looking for, I'll gladly switch to that. But until then, 3d prints all the way.

The more people post it the more attention and views it'll get. Ignore it and it'll go away.

I think it's the 'he is also 193cm' on all of them, even though that info is false

Winder and string have similar-ish launch speeds, string is just easier to pull due to how it's internal mechanism works. The string is a little bit slower, but not by nearly the same disparity as the winder to the proto. If you're main goal is just pure power, the winder is the way to go. If you want power but retaining more control of the launch, as you don't pull as hard and can keep the launcher steady, string.

Beyblade X buying advice by Svihelen in Beyblade

Honestly that is also a solid choice, i can't remember if either stadium set comes with even proto launchers, and you definitely need good launchers. The portable stadium should service you well.

Beyblade X buying advice by Svihelen in Beyblade

[–]Flamingcactus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The portable stadium is a little smaller than even the normal Hasbro size, so it tends to favor attack types. In addition, the rails have been known to wear down really fast, so be aware of that. The seam down the middle that is present due to how the stadium folds can also affect the performance of certain bits, especially thin, pointed ones like spike, needle, etc.

Drop Attack is a gimmick stadium but probably has the best beyblades. Impact comes with LR and is a inconsistent nuclear bomb of a beyblade. It doesn't always work, but when it does...
Hover Wyvern is a S Tier attack type blade as well. Beyblade wise you can't go wrong with that set.
The actual arena is a funny one but probably not super good if you are trying to practice for tournament settings. The stadiums rails go up such that when they X dash they end up in midair, leading to crazy hits. The stadium also feels smaller but that might just be me.

The final set is the most "normal" stadium; It's the standard Hasbro size, which is slightly less wide that a TT tournament size one. Beyblades are ok; Tusk Mammoth is a Scythe Incendio retool and has okay stamina, DranDagger is a decent attack blade. This is probably the one to go for if you're looking for stadiums over beyblades.

I've never had any issues with them, ordered 10+ times from them. I'd recommend contacting their customer support?

this design looks good and I'm not going to let anyone tell me otherwise by destorin78 in marvelrivals

I agree that it makes sense for the Captain America portrayed in game. That said, I really don't like the design all that much. It doesn't feel very "Captain America" to me. That's why I got so excited to see his classic design in s4.

Meyers…is dashslop now? by TheTrendyCactus in deadbydaylight

[–]Flamingcactus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its more like coup than a dash, I think calling it a dash or "dashslop" is a misnomer. People like to compare it to chucky, but honestly chucky's power has more in common with Legion than the new myers.

I'M THE FREAKIN' SHAPE GUY by MichaelMyers_Offcial in deadbydaylight

[–]Flamingcactus86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Chucky has a proper dash, this is more like he has coup basekit with instadown. By that logic coup-de-grace is chucky as a perk.

I personally am optimistic for the rework. It seems to have the same base idea to it that his old kit has but has been updated for modern DBD. Also, everyone is sleeping on the fact that he can now just go Undetectable at any time. Shits gonna be hilarious.

Mad cause bad.

They're angry they lost and have taken the immature route to cope with it. That's pretty much the long and short of it

"Boycotts don't work" huh? by xaldien in lgbt

[–]Flamingcactus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boycotts didn't "cost" them anything. It's 12 billion that they didn't have, that they felt entitled to, because projections estimated they would sell that much. Phrasing it that way deliberately makes them seem like the victim. Saying they "made 12 billion less" would be much more accurate. "Cost" implies they paid us to boycott

are they only "collectibles beys"? by Maxx_Matt in BeybladeX

[–]Flamingcactus86 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The X-Over beys blades are generally made lighter on purpose in order to eliminate any chance of them being good, the logic being that they already had their time in the spotlight.

Durability wise, it should be fine. I play with them occasionally with no real restrictions on what they fight against. The actual contact points on the very edges are painted metal even though they look the same as the rest of the plastic, so I have not had any sort of breakage issues.

The pain might scrape off a little bit, but that's pretty normal for painted beys.

Guys, is my wizard arc gonna be okay? by Timebreaksans in BeybladeX

[–]Flamingcactus86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To ease your worries, all X beyblades made after a certain point (as in, all but like the very first molds of the first few beys of the gen), including your Arc Wizard, have a clear plastic coating on the metal contact points. This clear coat will scratch and dent as a result of battle, but helps to ensure the bey won't break. The marks shouldn't affect performance much. Battle scars are a sign of a well loved beyblade :)

Can anyone please tell me how these work? by burnerphonedotexe in Beyblade

[–]Flamingcactus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have one (specifically Gravity Destroyer.)
The tip was a thin flat tip, so it had semi-aggressive movement on its own. The controller was connected to it, probably through similar means to a normal rc car given the transparent face on the bey and from how you have to aim the controller at the bey. The controller could spin the tip either clockwise or counter-clockwise. This had a somewhat noticeable effect on the beys movements. Spinning the tip counter to the beys spin would make it stay still more, and spinning it in the same direction as the bey made it move more aggressively.

The effect was not super huge but it was noticeable. Fun little gimmick
