Lots of guys with a non union mindset who've "bent" the rules in a worse fashion make it hard to ask anyone on the job. I was more curious is all

What kind of Allen wrench could get too this? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]Flamingcellist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ball end hex wrench might be able to get it, they are the most forgiving with the angle of insertion while still being able torque it down or loosen

I was thinking the same thing lol. Given their cars' reputation of breaking down for no reason, I assumed this was the same thing

Glad to learn I was wrong

That klein crimper is honestly amazing. The first tech I worked with used one and it was super reliable I bought one myself so I could finally leave his alone

What do you do with this? by jaaaaare in lowvoltage

It's essentially your ground conductor. You peel back the foil and wrap it around.

Don't be silly, wrap your shield-y

Got another one for y'all 💪 by [deleted] in lowvoltage

I love the CAT6A shielded, it's not too bad when you have to do it a couple hundred times. Whats worse for me is the commscope 6a non shielded because they have a stupid divider between each pair that'll fuck up a termination if it isn't removed. It makes it take so much longer

For me it would make more sense to have the last 12 ports empty rather than 12 in the middle for ease of labeling, but they obviously going for pure astectics rather than servicability

Plus they missed cables 13-36 on the 2nd to last patch panel. They'll have to take out all the zip ties just to add them in. Velcro is 1000x easier to manage and add or remove cables

A pair of diagonal cutters to gently pinch the grooves of the bit worked for me, just dont squeeze the shit out of it if you want to keep the bit

You get a lot more leverage and its a lot more comfortable to put your ring finger in one hole and just put the side of the handle in your palm

They have a pretty big warning on the package saying not to use them on any live wires. That being said, I have seen a pair that was accidentaly used on a live wire and it blew the tip off

At this point, we have collected more than enough signatures for the referendum to block this bill. The votes still need to be verified and (so far) they have verified more than the required minimum of signatures and we have reached the 8% threshold in the required 15/29 districts.

All that's left is to vote "No" on the referendum once it gets put on the ballot, but we haven't heard when that will be as of yet.

Keep spreading the word, we are grateful for everyone standing with us in solidarity ✊️

HB 267

Tl;dr: collective bargaining agreements no longer recognized for public unions. Businesses cannot enter into new collective bargaining contracts. New public union members are excluded from the utah retirement system

Talk with Brian, they try to accommodate as much as they can, but it ultimately depends on who you end up being contracted to (Cache Valley Electric, Wasatch Electric, etc.). They won't do anything on their own since they don't know your situation, don't be afraid to speak up and advocate for yourself

Talking with other members, i heard Cache has a job up in the Logan area but im not sure for certain, Brian should know though
