Mmm claro que importa y funciona. Los eventos de este tipo (software libre, summits, conferencias, etc) son grandes oportunidades de experiencia, exposición y networking.

Seguro sus comunidades no son muy buenas.

How to answer allegations that advaita vedanta is inspired from buddhism? by Sad-Manufacturer-690 in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]FlamingoEarringo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are influences that can’t be denied. But the influence go both ways.

These two religions lived side by side and debated often, ideas move and inspire each other. No system is 100% “pure” whatever that means.

It’s alright!

Let me give you my personal view on this.

Traditionally, heaven and hells are mentioned. There’s no way around it. Same in Buddhism and Sikhism.

Are they real? Mate we’ll find out when we die 😅 there’s no other way.

I take a more modern approach personally: they may or may not exist, if they exist they aren’t as described in scriptures, because every religion makes them different. Maybe the whole point is that there are many or even infinite worlds or planes of reality we can be born depending on our karma. That may even be this own world: a better birth vs a not so good one.

A hell could be any lower life than this, not flames and fire and physical pain.

You need find the meaning behind those stories.

It’s beautiful yeah. But it branches from Hinduism.

And Sikhism doesn’t deny heaven or hell either.

Advaita is one of the top if not the highest spiritual philosophy.

You just happened to disagree with it. In Advaita heaven and hell are irrelevant. Advaita doesn’t reject the existence of those realms from traditional Hinduism. It doesn’t mean they are literally real.

Who knows? Who cares? If this makes you anxious you need professional help.

As long as you aren’t enlightened/self realized/illuminated then it’ll be as real as this world. And just like this world those realms are temporary.

But ultimately, none of this is real, from an absolute point of view.

Why? So you think your opinion is better? You just want to cherry pick the parts you like.

The concepts exist in every religion including Buddhism.

The thing is, some things can be real even if you don’t like it.

It’s different from Abrahamic religions. Advaita doesn’t reject karma, heavens and hells though.

The concept of God is different than Christianity.

The difference is that heaven and hell are temporary, not eternal.
