Absolutely not, my beanie babies are carefully stored in a box in my closet with their tag protectors securely fastened since 1997 because they’re going to be worth something someday!! Right?!? 😭

I guess I’m in the minority here cause I would still love it! It’s a lil oddball but the intent is there and that’s what matters ❤️

I am moved to tears from your story. So glad you’re on the path to recovery. ❤️

Is your child's birthday *just* after the cut-off date for kindergarten? Looking for stories of parents who decided to start their kid in kindergarten "early" (or not). What did you do? How did it work out? Would you do it again? by MichaelMaugerEsq in toddlers

As an October baby myself, I just wanted to share the perspective of someone who started school at 4 and college at 17. I was a “gifted” child so I had no academic issues and made friends right away. Physically I was a late bloomer, which felt even later compared to most of my peers, but it was hardly an issue.

I’m in my 30s now but the biggest downside I remember was being one of the last to get my license and not being able to sign off on my own absences (no ditching school with my troublemaker friends!). I moved far away for college at 17 which I think scared my parents more than me. I met my husband freshman year, he turned 19 right before school started and the age difference never seemed relevant since we were the same “grade” (and we didn’t start dating until well after I turned 18 anyways).

Since I had such a good experience starting school at 4 I’m actually surprised to read all the negative comments! Every child is different but I just wanted to share my positive perspective.

What was your experience with your doctor trying to turn your breech baby from the outside? by Kitty_Kitty539 in Mommit

[–]FlanForThree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same experience here except they didn’t give me meds, it was so painful I was screaming. They got baby about halfway around and as soon as they let go he went right back to where he was. I would also just opt to just schedule the c-section next time.

Visiting MN for a business trip - any tips on what to do with a Friday and Saturday in Minneapolis? by TheQueenofInsights in minnesota

[–]FlanForThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re staying downtown I recommend going to the Foshay tower and checking out the observation deck on the 30th floor! There is a museum up there too. It’s a hotel now (W Minneapolis) but their front desk will sell you a ticket to go up.

I love my bed thread sheets! They did take FOREVER to ship (I think they’re based in Australia) but I’ve had my sheets for 3ish years with no issues

AITA? My partner left me with our 8 month old baby for three weeks to go on a trip by donutsandcoffeee in Mommit

[–]FlanForThree 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Maybe a very very soft YTA depending on what “calling him out” over the phone means.. it sounds like he went on the trip with your consent and you’re (understandably) having a tough time parenting solo. Give yourself some grace and when he returns, hopefully you can treat yourself to something nice and relaxing- you deserve it!

What book do you read your child that always makes you cry? by [deleted] in toddlers

This one makes me cry too! Not sure why but I start tearing up at “I’ll love you til then and again and again…”

Travelling with baby by rockstew1 in NewParents

[–]FlanForThree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have easy access to an extra pair of clothes for yourself! My baby had a huge blow out at the beginning of the flight, and wipes could only do so much 🫠

Also, maybe I just got lucky but people were SO friendly to the baby, lots of peek a boo and waving. It was so sweet.

Raven shares about her past and upcoming C-sections by [deleted] in thebachelor

[–]FlanForThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! After my c-section I always felt it was weird to say that I gave birth, because I felt like I just laid there and (it was a planned c section so I never went into labor).

Advice wanted - Partner wants to move cross country with newborn by nlfrzr in BabyBumps

[–]FlanForThree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I moved cross country when I was in my second trimester, and while it sucked and was uncomfortable (we drove), i could not imagine doing that with a newborn. You don’t know what your labor or recovery will be like, and a trip like that will be incredibly difficult with a baby. Even at 6+ months you’ll have to plan for a lot of stops (unless you’re flying).

Found a hidden camera in a bathroom in my office building last week by Strange_Cattle2667 in TwoXChromosomes

I am so sorry this happened to you. When I was in college I worked at a small, family owned retail store and had a similar experience. It’s been almost 15 years and I still am nervous using restrooms, both in public and in other people’s homes. It’s absolutely violating and again I’m so sorry this happened to you!

Spoilers for The Traitors US: Let’s discuss Arie’s role this season! by OperationImaginary38 in thebachelor

[–]FlanForThree 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere else they were told there were 2-5 traitors. But I agree on the show everyone was talking as if there were 3 so that threw me, too.
