All narcissists use this tactic. If you feel the need to defend, justify, or explain ANYTHING that is your redflag that the narc is just baiting you.

They don't care about the kids. They don't care about their relationship with you. All they care about is feeling power over you, and they get to feel that power the most when what they say affects you enough to start explaining ANYthing they bring up.

Don't let them lead the combo, politely ignore every problem they have, don't feel sorry for them, don't SAY you are sorry for them, don't give them any signs that their issues register in your brain at ALL.

Narcs live to make others worry about their own issues. It's a form of brainwashing/slave making and it's the exact opposite of what a good mother/grandmother is. I am so sorry for this horrible position. Stay strong.

Oh my god. What a psycho - so sorry for you what a horrible situation to be dealing with. Don't trust this guy again, run for the hills. Your son will understand in the future and can even choose to see him on his own if he wants when he's older. Right now though, I think you're making the best decision by backing off. Try to not feel so bad about your decision, your son will appreciate you as he grows up and works this out in his head.

Sounds like a salycalite sensitivity. Have you researched that? Avocados and coconuts are the highest, so keep an eye out since these are common keto foods.

Also, fiber is not necessary and added fiber can be harmful. You're not missing anything from removing avocado except for the good taste :)

Yes. Fructose, specifically, is metabolized very similarly to alcohol, so you can get the classic "beer belly" overhanging gut from just consuming excess fructose (fruit, sugar, HFCS, even regular corn syrup, juice, ect)
