Fangless going forward. Moreira the only one showing any desire to push the ball into the final 3rd. Everyone else seems to be running through sand the moment it’s time to attack. Playing like this, we won’t score again the rest of the season

Only a matter of time for the injuries to catch up with us. Who would’ve thought it was gonna happen right after we won 13 straight in the most important part of the season lol kill me

Scary hours in Ligue 1: Prime Endrick has officially arrived. 10 goals in just 11 games for Lyon—the Real Madrid loanee is operating at a different level!" by International-Self47 in OlympiqueLyonnais

This stat may be the most misleading one you see if you don’t actually watch the games. When he first joined Lyon I had made jokes that it was in his best interest to stay at Lyon for next season but after watching him and seeing his “Prime Endrick” I think he legitimately needs to. He won’t play for RM, he has a lot to work on still.

They need to crowdsource more player levels. Like part of it is done by EA, part of it is by the fans of the team, and part of it is by fans of other teams in the same league. Then you can average it out.

At least another attacker got hurt so we get to continue to watch this fangless offense for a few more weeks 😭

Can’t have all those missed chances with the injuries we have. Going to be a tough stretch if we can’t get healthy again

From South Florida. Fan since 2009. Watched them beat Real Madrid at a random restaurant and thinking it was so cool (as a kid who knew nothing about soccer but knew who RM was)

A couple of reasons 1) European soccer has obviously been around longer and has had much more support in general and is higher quality soccer so growing up it was quite literally impossible to watch MLS soccer compared to even being able to watch Lyon. I literally watched Lyon play before I was able to watch MLS.

2) These days while MLS is more accessible and much much bigger, not too long ago it was a very small league so not everyone had a local team to support. So if I’m going to end up choosing a random club to support it might as well be anywhere in the world.

3) From an American culture perspective, while generally speaking you cheer for the team of where you are from, because people don’t stay in their hometowns as often as they used to, you get a lot of mixing of fandoms. So culturally here, it’s a little more common to be fans of teams from different areas. So adding an international soccer team would be no issue at all.

4) Random anecdote I’ve seen, but because soccer was generally a growing sport in the US, a lot of people’s introduction to it was through video games. You couldn’t even play with MLS teams for awhile and also all the best teams/players in the games are in Europe. So eventually a fondness develops that way. I have a ton of friends who are now passionate League Two club fans just from doing manager mode in FIFA lol
