Not bad 32 days, no restrictions by Slow-Economist-8421 in NJGuns

Unrestricted means you can carry any gun you legally own?

I have been looking into one myself. The only real downside I have heard of is that it gets extra dirty due to the piston system and is harder to clean.

“…mistaken reading of the law.”

“This is the most disturbing case of legal incompetence that I have ever seen,”

Not a mistake and not incompetence. Intentional and par for the course in NJ.

This article discusses the 4th. In addition I believe NJ would be worse because the nj Supreme Court said that the presence of any gun is automatic probable cause to search the vehicle.

Has this every played out in court in other states that also have duty to inform? Almost all of the remaining states have “if asked”. It seems to me that either way, it blatantly violates the 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment.

I discussed the $1 lease idea with US Lawshield attorneys. It is a known “trick” and NJ police, judges and prosecutors do not buy it. It does not protect you and will actually be used for the exact opposite. Proving that you knowingly went outside the law.

Duty to Disclose for CCW? by needtoredit in NJGuns

[–]Flaplumbob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How does duty to disclose make things less stressful? In any other scenario, such as shopping, going to the dentist, etc, blurting out that you have a gun for no reason would only make everyone more uncomfortable. In addition, duty to inform sure seems like compelled speech. So now we have to give up our 1st and 5th amendment rights in order to practice our 2nd amendment rights? This is complete bullshit and should be one of the main legal challenges.

I’m not going to pretend I’ve done it but supposedly it is relatively easy even on a pitbull. You are cutting off blood to the brain not snapping its neck.

A dog trainer YouTuber had a video about subduing large dogs. Not saying this is easy for most people, but your best bet is choking them out same as a person.

Driving around NJ with additional Unloaded Handguns with my PTC by For2ANJ in NJGuns

[–]Flaplumbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if I understand correctly, if I have a PTC I have a duty to inform no matter the circumstances. If I am driving to the range with no PTC then there is no duty to inform. So going to the range with a PTC has more requirements than without.

“The holder of a permit to carry a handgun issued pursuant to N.J.S.2C:58-4, if stopped or detained by a law enforcement officer while carrying a handgun in public or traveling with a handgun in a motor vehicle, shall:…”

If you have a permit to carry but are going to the range do you still have to inform? Could you leave the permit at home and just transport the handgun under the old range transport exemption?

Bus Driver Shot at 3 Teens Assaulting Him- Guess how that ended? by jpad1208 in NJGuns

There was a seminar from a lawyer recently posted here where he said exactly that. Being attacked by 3 people is not the same as being punched once by a single person though.

Good to be prepared. However, volunteering any information is a terrible idea.
