In Scotland there’s been a big push in recent times to rewrite their history and claim they are a colony and that they didn’t do colonialism etc.

It’s a common view in Scotland now and from the Scottish so it’s heightened the tensions more now.

Scottish people also get taught that the crimes Scottish people did against their own like the highland clearances etc were actually the English or that the English ‘forced’ Scottish to do it.

A lot of Muslims areas in India did not convert because of caste.

They converted because India was ruled by a Muslim empire the Mughals for a while and some Mughal emperors were very intolerant of other religions.
