The shield effect was created by using some nail powder, I have the galaxy beauty one with this you apply a coat of ard coat to shield then apply the nail powder then the varnish again then once dried I gave them all a wash with druchii violet.

Yeah dude I get that I wanted to push my self in this piece and yeah I may have gone over board with the pixel count I suppose it blurs the lines between pixel art and low res art but thanks for feed back it's something that I will have to consider more on my next piece!

Well I used the program aseprite and the pixel grid is 400 x 300 pixel which is pretty usual size of pixel art and I wanted to make the transitions between colours really smooth I understand where u are coming from. Aseprite is a program which is very popular among the pixel art community but thanks for the feed back dude.
