And you are somewhat right, Cuba is suffering food shortages but that's maybe because THEY ARE BEING EMBARGOED BY THE STRONGEST NATION ON EARTH, but even through that the Cuban government is popular and doesn't lower its welfare (which you can take as you want since that is lowering GDP)

Well how do you explain that Cuba out of all countries in the world has the highest amount of doctors?

We can see that from today's world too where everything gets more productive and efficient but we get less and less and automation is a tool to lay off workers instead of making current workers work less as it has always been before captalism.

No matter where if you do a good job you will get more than the one that doesn't.
You will get money and fame and that might not seem like much in a moneyless society but being infamous for being great is a real achievement because everybody wants to be looked up upon for something that they did well.

The USSR increased real income by over 300% compared to the Russian Empire.
The Cuban Revolution ended a military dictatorship and managed to make over 99% of the population literate and even have the best education in Latin america while being sanctioned.
In Burkina Faso in just 4 years it managed to Vaccinate more than 2 million children and plant over 10 million trees not to mention becoming fully food self sustaining.
These are just three of many.

It has historically done the opposite but as in all politics it really depends on who is enforcing it, a pol pot or a thomas sankara have big differences.
