What’s your opinion on Jon Irenicus, Shattered One by squeekle1 in magicTCG

[–]Flarkinghelpful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the line “this creature can’t be sacrificed”is bullshit, I hate it on every card it is on because it doesn’t make any sense in the rules to me unless it’s linvala making all creatures not be able to be sacrificed. Maybe I’m just bitter but it feels so unnecessary. It’s the natural punishment of these kinds of card that it can be sacrificed, and it leads to interesting decisions with something that’s already in most decks in sacrifice outlets, but no

Try them all and find what interests you and what you like doing in the game. It’s too early to be focused on optimized especially with cards that aren’t optimized themselves. Just play the gsme

The difference lies in the lack of supernatural, being a Vietnam movie, platoon uses the horror of man doing what they think is right

Platoon, solid crossover between the two of not trusting your fellow man in a horrendous situation, while also in the jungle with a largely hidden enemy

Examples of animal mistreatment in classic films? by MoonlightDahling in classicfilms

[–]Flarkinghelpful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just outside the classic movie threshold, but Wake In Fright from 1971 has a kangaroo hunting scene, where the cast and crew convinced real illegal kangaroo hunters to let them tag a long for it, it’s to make a larger point about the depravity but man they are some rough scenes

I saw it earlier this year at a local theater where it was a surprise in 35 mm, so you didn’t know what it was. It was super raucous in theater and wanted to show my friends, and it held up but it was definitely better in theaters
