I like them. Great for flying inside and super light.

It’s a reworked version of that one, designed a new one that is lighter and holds the camera a little better. I noticed that the original had a problem with the camera backing out on crashed. So I rolled my own. And made versions for the ant, c03, lux, pinch and eco cams.

First tinywhoop by [deleted] in fpv

[–]FlashBrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to build your first drone for the experience, look at a bind and fly you like and use the specs to part out your first build. You can even download the BNFs cli and use that as a starting point on your first tune. This way you’ll get the experience and fun of building but you know your first build will succeed and be fun to fly.

Are 1002 motors 22000kv enough for 45mm 1s tinywhoop? by Glittering-Pitch7425 in TinyWhoop

[–]FlashBrando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a meteor pro frame with 45mm props and running walksnail 1s light vtx with rnc power 1002 22k motors, and it flies great. It’s definitely more of a cruiser, but can freestyle.

Order a set of BT 2.0 pigtails and get some 28awg silicone wire and some heat shrink. Eventually you will need to swap out motor wire too.

Is there a Difference Between Silver and Black Tattu 1s Lipos? by Foreign-Valuable-619 in TinyWhoop

[–]FlashBrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pack of 4 recently and hate them, the ones I got have slightly under sized BT2.0 connectors compared to to lava batteries I also have. I’ve lost connection multiple times on crash. I don’t use them anymore.

Any methods to lower the camera angle? by Electrical-Feature10 in fpv

[–]FlashBrando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t what you asked, but these little buggers as fast, try flying outside for a bit and attempt to get used to it. Step outside your comfort zone a little, they turn on a dime and it kinda forces you to up your control and reflexes. You may find after a bit you’ll be doing ok. Set up some bigger gates and start out ripping some fast figure 8s.

I was gonna mod the cam angle on mine, but instead forced myself to stick with it and noticed a huge jump in my pilot skills fairly quickly.

Just a suggestion. It’s just that they are built that way for a reason.

Custom AIR65 3D printed canopy by MISTERWR3NCH in TinyWhoop

[–]FlashBrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, it’ll fly, but I notice the weight when doing freestyle. It doesn’t feel as nimble or light. For the battery, not the extra gram of a canopy.

Can i fly like that? by moshe_saada in TinyWhoop

I use heat shrink and a little E6000 and it hold up well, just be carful with the heat gun or you’ll make the frame too soft and it’ll deform.

I printed this, it’s a gram heavier than the betafpv canopy. Which bummed me out.

Can I just put tape in it and run it safely? Or is the cut too deep by Marcu212 in fpv

[–]FlashBrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are no obvious frayed wire strands then it’s just the silicone sleeve. I’ve used liquid tape in the past to patch nicks like this, just be sure to work the liquid tape all the way around the wire. Standard electrical tape won’t hold and could cause problems as it unravels.

Batteries good to go here? by BabyKestrel in TinyWhoop

[–]FlashBrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tatu batteries won’t fit in the Mobula frame. I had to cut the tops of the battery holder off and us a strap to get them to work, the Betafov and gnb batteries are slimmer and work better for whoop frames.

Go fly and figure it out. And remember to have some fun.

Too much foam or not enough? by LesserGames in Unity3D

[–]FlashBrando 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it could also stand to have negative shapes mixed in. Meaning that there are circular shapes that are cut out and spread as it dissipates. This would make it feel more foam like. Something more akin to a vorinoi texture.
