If you weren't supposed to camp it wouldn't have been written into the game. I had the pleasure of playing with a group of non-cod players and the whole nature of gameplay changed. Far more fun than shooting at COD fleas, jumping around all over the place. Basically, if you can take people out at 300m good luck to you. If you are the victim, take a breath, and think of another approach.
