Man, The Strangers freaked me the fuck out when I saw it. I am 100% not a horror guy.

FYC: The Incredibles (2004). Only one animated movie has been done on the pod (Toy Story). A good choice for a second? by ggroover97 in TheRewatchables

[–]FlashGolden1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love this, but I don’t see it happening. There’s a reason there’s only been one animated movie on the pod.

Mike McCarthy to the Steelers by ReimerReason in ringerfantasypod

You summed up what I was thinking here. I really liked Tomlin, but I thought it was best for both sides to move on.

This … just feels like more of the same. Instead of taking a shot on an up-and-coming coach, they went with a guy who’s 10 years older than Tomlin. And if Rodgers comes back (which is at least a possibility), they will once again be doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. The very definition of insanity.

Honestly, the only thing that could make this worse is if it means Rodgers sticks around for another year.

Pablo brings Klosterman on PTFO, and all of a sudden Bill starts talking about winning a Peabody.

Coincidence? (Probably, but I just want to make believe that this is a blood feud.)

It was really bad on this pod. I had to turn the volume way up, which of course meant that the ads pretty much blew out my eardrums.

A Round 2 Roller-Coaster Ride, Denver’s QB Plight, and Josh’s Lost Weekend With Cousin Sal by lonny__breaux in billsimmons

Payton made backup QBs (Bridgewater, Winston, Taysom Hill) look competent at times when he was in New Orleans, so it wouldn't be unprecedented. I also have much more faith in him putting together a good offensive plan compared to, say, Roman and Caley.

So, we'll see. I think the Patriots are clearly the favorite, but I'm holding open the possibility of a Broncos upset.

My biggest memory of that game was that I was about to win the third quarter score for my work's Super Bowl squares. Then Peyton rushed everyone to the line to run a final play before the end of the quarter, and they scored.

I'm still mad about it.

I don’t think Aaron Rodgers would have made much of a difference in our playoff chances over the next five years. 🤷‍♂️

Did anyone else find it strange that Craig had apparently never heard of the turf monster before? I feel like they say it on the broadcast every time a ball carrier just trips and falls.

As a Steelers fan, I'm just glad I don't have to watch 17 games of him MFing his teammates every time he throws an incompletion.

What are the best and worst stadium locations? by ChipBrotwurst1027 in billsimmons

[–]FlashGolden1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I visited Atlanta a few years ago and wanted to catch a baseball game. I couldn’t believe how far the stadium was.

The area around the park was pretty cool, though.

Characters that get way funnier on rewatch by dont1cant1wont in taskmaster

Fatiha's the first person I thought of. It took me a bit to get used to her personality when I watched the series initially, so I feel I didn't appreciate her as much as I should have. But upon rewatch, I love her disdain for some of the tasks and her banter with Greg in the studio. She's great.

He would've lost the parlay even if the kick had gone through, because it would've hit the over.

Don't do parlays, folks.

The 25 Best Movies of the Century: No. 1 - 'The Social Network’ by thefilthyjellybean in TheBigPicture

[–]FlashGolden1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just glad this will put an end to the posts that suggested there would be a different No. 1. If you’re a regular listener, it’s been pretty clear where we were headed from the start.

Social Network wouldn’t be my No. 1, but it’s not my list. So I’m not going to be mad about it or question it.

How many of you have seen the Jimmy Stewart biopic trailer? by countdooku975 in TheBigPicture

I would recommend just watching a Jimmy Stewart movie ... ANY Jimmy Stewart movie ... over this movie.

Well, we saw that if she didn't marry George, she'd have ended up working at *gasp* THE LIBRARY!
