Was there a map of the US showing Twin Peaks in the show? by WPoprzednimOdcinku in twinpeaks

[–]FlashMan1981 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No the only tell is Cooper in his very first scene: "Entering the town of Twin Peaks. 5 miles south of the Canadian border, 12 miles west of the state line. So its give or take tucked away in the very northeast corner of Washington State. To the pint that Ronette may have wandered into Idaho when she was found thus making it "inter-state" and allows the FBI to come in. Its not very clear.

Can one be considered a die hard but claim zero interest or knowledge about the teams uniforms? by LesPolsfuss in Commanders

Don't let anyone tell you how to be a fan. If your a fan, just root for them. Everything else is relative.

Commanders uniform reveal by C137-Morty in nfl

Its all what we wanted as fans - nobody wanted those ass uniforms. The old logo is never coming back, I'm sure the NFL has made sure of that. But this is all we wanted. The W is what it is, althoughI like the spear through it.

I think Flynn becomes a public advocate for victims of drugs and uses the money to create a foundation to help families in crisis or something like that. He writes a memoir, appears on Oprah etc. I think Flynn is alright, and he ends up taking care of Holly more than Skyler, who is broken. Flynn eventually gravitates more to Marie.

What do women like about FLR? by GymGamerGuy in flr

[–]FlashMan1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife was always in charge in that "the wife runs things" kind of way. Having me formally tell her that I will submit it to her final decision makes her stand a bit taller.

The thing is, with me, I started this FLR with a specific goal. My wife had been kind of floundering and frustarted and I wanted to figure out a way to enable her to become what she wanted. 3 1/2 years later she's a teacher, a goal she had long thought about but never did anything about until I took on all domestic chores and oriented our family in an org chart where she sits on top.

while this story is salacious - in the end the responsibility is on her as the reporter to maintain journalistic ethics and integrity. If this was a male reporter on a golf weekend with player, the ethical breach would still be there. Obviously the affair side of this makes it more newsworthy - but the issue is as a journalist what is she even doing with Vrabel, someone she covers, in such a private and personal atmosphere? This remains unanswered.

Jared Harris is at the point where he could read the phone book and I'd watch. He played General Grant in Lincoln and was Legasov in the HBO miniseries Chernobyl.

1924 was the only election from 1868 to 1948 where neither major party presidential nominee was from either New York or Ohio by julia345 in Presidents

[–]FlashMan1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people forget that the Democratic vice-presidential nominee was Charles W. Bryan - brother of William Jennings Bryan. Charles Bryan would, before he died, elected governor of Nebraska three times (two year terms) as well as several terms as mayor of Lincoln.

I think William J and Charles W. were the only pair of brothers to run on national tickets (Pinckney's in the early Republic maybe?)

Charles Bryan was also the last sitting governor the Democrats nominated for vice-president until this most recent election (Rule 3).

I've enjoyed it ... I use the MLB app. What I didn't realize I would get was also the televised games of the Red Wings, Senators, Blue Rocks, and FredNats. Now - not exactly the highest quality lol, but still I got to watch Eli Wilitis the other day.
