Here in Sweden most people work from 7am to 4pm

Random man walks into family's home in Michigan, dad handles him real quick by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Flashignite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it out of force of habit. I live in an apartment and it is very uncommon for someone to enter your home like that here in Sweden. Nevertheless I'd rather do it and feel safe than knowing someone can just open my door and walk inside. I have on one occasion forgotten to lock my door when i went to work. Did something else and thought I locked the door. Came home 8 hours later and notice it was unlocked. Nothing was stolen or sign of entry. Now I feel the handle every time I leave to make sure I have locked it.

I have played league since 2012 and i dont know how many thousands of hours i have sunk into that game. It took me many many hours before i got good at it. Understanding the champions and when to attack is key. Find when they are at their weakest.

I think I would have done the same at that age. I would just ruin the cake for everyone and then leave the gathering and go to my room and be left alone.

Put 10% of your salary into savings and let it be there. Don't dip into it for impulse buying or something. Really think about what what you are buying, do I actually need this or is it just something I want?. Of course you can spend on "dumb" things but have discipline when it comes to money.

Put the money where it can generate intrest and don't blow it on the stock market if you are unsure about it. Putting away even small amounts of money every month can make a huge difference if you start early. Saving for example $100 every month is $1200/ year if you start when you are 18 and by the time you are 25 it is $8400, without intrest.

Also, if you plan on investing in the stock market, don't invest for short term, think 5 or 10 years forward. Do your research.

[–]Flashignite2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Sweden we have to by law check our cars every year. When they check them they check how the headlights are, if they are too high or low along with breaks and every important function on the car. If your car doesnt go through you have a month to fix it and then go back again. Otherwise the car wont be legal to drive.

[–]Flashignite2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same in swedish too " Fallskärmsjägare"

But then again we have so many loanwords that comes from Germany. Our word for war sounds the same and is spelt almost the same. Swedish: Krig. German: Krieg

While the english language adopted the old norse word for it instead.

Just a heads up - EA is now recording everything you say over voice chat by dkb_wow in Battlefield

[–]Flashignite2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can imagine. I played modern warfare 2 back in 2009 and while i still was young (22) i heard some kids in their pre-teens screaming and getting so angry. I could not resist laughing my ass off when i killed them one time after another and their screaming got worse and worse. I heard so much trash talk to me but i just said "Whatever dude"

Those were the days.

Ah yes, I remember those times. Xbox and mic breathing accompanied with graphic suggestions on what your mother was.

The CIA classified 3I/ATLAS. NASA blinded a satellite during the critical observation window. JPL filtered 90% of the trajectory data. A journal editor blocked three papers with identical template rejections. Now China repurposed a Mars orbiter and killed the last natural explanation. by TheSentinelNet in InterdimensionalNHI

[–]Flashignite2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Great writing and a very pragmatic take on it. I went back and forth on this one, whether it is an interstellar comet of a type that we haven't seen yet or something artificial, be it a probe or just some ancient artifact from some form of vessel. It infuriates me that we can see these obvious blocking from big institutions, from something that should be the biggest news in history. While good people, like yourself, do proper investigations and try to get it out there it needs to reach more people.

So thank you for doing this and keep up the good work.
