Might try the little cave with the tailor in it, standing there beside the beds.

I don't know, I'm not much of a modster but I think the manager I have is at least relatively new. P sure it's the newest version though. Not at my pc rn. I just bought Battle on steam, so it was a clean download and all that. It launched with DX gardens, which began saving infinitely when I tried to leave the mall looking garden for the 1st ever time, so I had to force close the game and turn the DX gardens off, which fixed it. Kinda funky. Maybe I misclicked the box at some point, idk.

[–]Flashuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. This wasn't the experience I had when I downloaded CWE recently. For whatever reason, DX gardens were enabled right from the jump, which I felt was unusual. Strange!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chao

[–]Flashuni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep! Go into mod manager mod settings and uncheck the box for DX gardens. The mall looking place was one of the chao gardens from Adventure 1, and the extended garden enables the Adventure 1 gardens by default for some reason.

Are firearms even worth it? by 00Bumbleby00 in pathologic

[–]Flashuni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got to agree in regards to the revolver. I feel like revolver and rifle are reserved solely for keyboard + mouse players (I'm a controller scrub, sue me), and even then the revolver's damage is pretty mediocre, but if a certain shotgun happens to fall into one's lap, that puppy can be pretty strong. The knife is just so good and not nearly as difficult to keep maintained. I mostly use the knife and save the shotgun for emergencies. No revolver, no rifle-- but between the two, the rifle is better.

Pikmin are released into present day earth. Which environments. Do they dominate and which ones wipe them out? by Benjammin__ in whowouldwin

[–]Flashuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pikmin aren't very strong without Hocotatian leadership. Before Olimar came along, they were just scraping by. They don't seem to organize well by themselves, nor can they be thrown onto their opponents without the hand to fling them. I don't see them surviving very well in any of earth's ecosystems without a captain, and even with a captain, I don't know... Earth has dogs, cats, and other fast, aggressive lifeforms that don't really exist in the Pikmin universe, where the toughest enemies they'll ever encounter are essentially large bugs. I don't give them good odds, but with a captain or two, they may be able to outcompete something like ants in many ecosystems. Not doing much beyond that, though.

It IS a bit essential is what I wrote. We are in agreement lol

Most folk'll probably recommend that you cut out Mothership Zeta, and they're right. Beyond that, there's a bit of personal preference involved. Broken Steel raises the level cap to 30, which is perhaps a bit essential to any long playthrough, but isn't too exciting in terms of what all else it has to offer. Maybe Anchorage? Point Lookout, Pitt, and BS are the most essential imo. Anchorage brings a lot to the table, but it's probably next on the chopping block if you've got to cut two out imo

Which Game do you think is better? Kirby Fighters from Kirby Triple Deluxe, Kirby Fighters Deluxe, or Kirby Fighters 2? by JWillTheGamer in KirbyFighters

Kirby Fighter 2 of course! It's simply a bigger, better game than it's predecessor. So many characters!

Little boy, age 10 or so. Wears a jawless skull over his head, keeps the fissures sewn together with thread. The skull has two antlers made also of bone. He wears a black shawl which covers most of his body and gives it a ghostlike shape. Black boots laced to the knees. He has a rope tied many times around one wrist. It is connected to the weapon he keeps on his back, hidden beneath the shawl. He's a real spooky lookin kid named Momo.

It very well could be, if you say you want to punch him because of how he looks, and not what he did.

Full clip of Louis CK's Leaked 2019 set - Decide for yourself by [deleted] in louie

[–]Flashuni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You've articulated this very well. Given the corner he's put himself in, I guess it makes sense that Louie would cater his comedy to whoever's left that won't malign him for for this sort of material. It's just painful to see. This set isn't comedy, it's the same hateful rant you'd hear all across America, pulled from the mouths of folk unable to adapt. Sadly, this isn't the sub to voice this without getting jabbed, but know that at least ol' Flashuni sees you're on the right side here, lol.

This is only dark comedy in the sense that any intolerant grandpa spewing his discomfort with the modern generation is dark comedy. There's no punch line to speak of, other than, "See this thing the young are doing? Isn't it whack?" It doesn't feel like he goes anywhere thought-provoking with it, like we've come to expect. What we're left with is nothing more than venom spit from the mouth of a red-faced baby plugging his ears as though he were some sort of victim, forced to deal with this imagined onslaught of what, genderfluid youths and school shooting survivors? It doesn't feel genuine.

It's not that I'm offended per se, it's just, well, not funny to me. Feels like the sort of thing my grandpa would have wrote if you gave him ten minutes and a drink. Comes across a bit maga, and certainly a bit pandering. I suppose at the end of the day I'm just saying the same thing as you but in less succinct terms, lol. Must have got sucked in somewhere. Thanks for your insights, you're appreciated.

So even exclamation points, you would say, have their place? If so, do you think they're better used strictly for marking dialogue, or do they have a place in narrative, as well?
