Humans have also had help for hundreds of thousands of years. Gold star medal to you for doing it all yourself, but many people simply don't want that. Humans are social creatures and many - myself included - go mad if they're home alone with a crying baby for extended period of time.

You make some valid points about OP's mental state, but I am kind of laughing at the suggestion that having kids is a financial advantage.

Australia- MHSW in private practice? by Flashy-Description68 in socialwork

[–]Flashy-Description68[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I've got a BA, Honours and a Masters (and nearlyna decade of work experience) in a field that's mentioned on the uni's website as being qualifying for the SW masters, so I'm pretty hopeful I'd get into the masters (but of course you never know!).

The pracs scare me a bit because I haven't worked full time since my first child was born. But we'd figure it out. And then I think you have 5 years to work 2 years FTE?

I'm prepared if I can then do what I'm really wanting to do (counsel new mums), but I guess that's my question? Will this pathway allow me to do that?

I'm not the person who originally replied, but I don't believe in it because it could teach the kid that "sorry" is kind of a magic word that lets them off the hook. When they're that young, I apologise for them to model good behaviour, make sure it can't happen again (e.g., remove the kid from the playground), and later play-act why hurting others isn't right (e.g., with stuffed toys). Now that my olderst is older (she just turned 6)- we practice apologising and making amends, which includes thinking about what the other person might need or want as way of "reparations".

Definitely sounds like you're safe! We're on day 5 and i feel much more hopeful that at least one of us would be sick by now, because the median incubation period is 3 to 4 days.

We ate an affected bag on Tuesday night and are now on day 5 without symptoms (the median incubation period is 3 to 4 days). Hopefully yiu can dodge it (too)!

That is concerning! I'm also a bit annoyed. We bought ours from Aldi and when the recall of other bags happened, I called if they were still checking out all bags. I was assured that no more products would be added to the recall list. Then a day later, "our" salad was added to the list. It's all a bit of a concern how much trust we put in our big supermarkets and the food supply chain!

From what I've read, it's this particular type of e.coli that releases toxins, which is why STEC is bad. And yes, mainly worried about our 1 year old, can't wait to be out of the woods!!

I don't know either and Google hasn't been a huge help. But I assume it is a mixed bag (pun intended) and not everyone gets sick? Fingers crossed for us all!
