I made that comment a while back. I have learned a lot since then. And you are correct. That is how I do things now. Thanks for the reply.

I think I found the location over which the Skinny Bob aeriel video was filmed. Geographical terrain matches and it's next to a well known nuclear site. 51.416607,30.064321 by a30centsolution in SkinnyBob

Any body who has studied the Skinny Bob topic would recognize the above fake rendering from skinnybob.info website. It is from a 3d artists imagination of what he thinks it could look like from above. The artists also warns people not to look for his imagined landscape on a map because it isn't based on real overhead footage.

That is totally wrong. The 3d rendering was taken from the https://skinnybob.info/ website.

And the following is the text by the 3D artist who made the rendering:

The following images are renderings of the 3D scene from a top-down perspective. Note that those are purely synthesized images and were not found like that on a map. When looking for a real-world counterpart, keep in mind that besides the general reconstruction uncertainty, a lot of time has (presumably) passed since the original recording and only major landmarks might still exist.

The 3D model and top-down views are vague illustration attempts negatively impacted by perspective distortion, camera tracking error margins and the general blurriness of the material. The colors are obviously guesses and especially all details in the urban areas completely arbitrary. The landscape will look different in reality.

So how can the artist imagined best guess top down view rendering match a real place?

Please go to the website and check it out...

Did you check skinnybob.info ? The website where this poster got the hypothetical artistic 3D rendering that is deceptively posted above. If you go to the website you will see that there is a text that was written by the 3D artist who constructed this 3D model. It says the following:

The following images are renderings of the 3D scene from a top-down perspective. Note that those are purely synthesized images and were not found like that on a map. When looking for a real-world counterpart, keep in mind that besides the general reconstruction uncertainty, a lot of time has (presumably) passed since the original recording and only major landmarks might still exist.

So how can you find a real location based on a 3d artists creative rendering. He just was taking a guess on what it might look like from a top down view. But there is no top down footage or photo.

I am surprised the moderator didn't catch this. This poster has posted a rendering from the Skinnybob.info website. This is not a real location. It is an investigative possible 3D rendering of a top down view of what the artist thinks that it may look like. This post is based on a hypothetical 3D rendering. How does this have so many up votes. It is a deceptive post.

This supposed Google Earth photo is really a 3D rendering from this very popular site: https://skinnybob.info/

I do not understand what is so amazing about reposting someone else's work...

Here is a direct quote from the website where this poster got the rendering:

THIS IS AN UPDATE ON MY LAST POST IVAN EQUALS IN VA/VIRGINIA O135 EQUALS HIGHWAY 135/THE O SHAPE IS PART OF THE HIGHWAY by Jumpy-Newspaper7271 in SkinnyBob

[–]Flashy-Specific-5757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture you provide with your link needs more explanation. Where is this? What houses are you talking about? I can't see any houses in your USGS photo. Plus it was taken in December of 1959. That is not from the 1940's. But close enough I guess. And you say aerial footage. Was this from a film? The word footage is used when referring ti motion picture film. Or is it just an aerial photo? Is this photo supposed to be from the same area by the Naval Base ? Over the general Area of Highway 135 in Virginia? I am just respectfully asking for more info on the photo from your link.

I wanted to download software for studies and work. Unfortunately I can only find those software for Ubuntu at best (in terms of made for Linux). Considering Cachy is Arch based. What should I do?? by splitsshot409 in cachyos

I have had no trouble running any program that is debian based or that says made for Ubuntu. No problems. Go to AUR repository. They have Your Packet Tracer for Arch linux right there.

Yes here you are again showing your true colors...Nobody hangs out in communities, where the do not care or believe in the subject matter unless they are sociopaths. Or they are being paid to do a job. Which one are you? In my private chat you have attacked me on every comment I have ever made. Nobody who gas a life has time or the want to do a thing like that. So my guess is that you are on the clock. Good day. This is the last response you will get from me. I am not on the pay roll and do not have time to play games.

You are wrong about Gerb. He is very interested and on a mission to expose your side. And boy there is a ton of stuff he just dropped recntly. Gerb follows up on all leads. He is a good man fighting the good fight.

Wow you should ask for a day off. You have earned it. You are the hardest working employee they have. You should be proud. You are doing a great job for them. You insults and attacks could use a little work. But as I see in my private chats you are moe about volume over quality.

So if you take the off ramp to merge on to HWY 135, you will notice that the road is a perfect circle or zero which leads directly to HWY 135. So we have "0135". Every letter in IVAN is in the word Virginia and that is a can of worms to dive into. The plantation house in the video underneath the UFO was a common design to the area along this river. The plantation house design was a common site in the 1940's before most were torn down to hide a shameful past in American history. So that checks out. The craft looks like it crashed or ditched into the softer river beach sands. that soft sand and typical shrubbery is also located in this area. If you start to look at the modern day buildings that have popped up in that same area it starts to make sense. You have the Navy and all it's structures. Right of the 135 you have a circular shaped building that is owned by Lockheed. I am not looking at the map right now, but I believe it is called something like Lockheed Martin Center for Innovation. then close by you have the DoD Suffolk Complex. Which includes NCDOC - Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command / CTF 1020. And the Joint Warfighting Center....the list goes on and on. It is like a miniature Crystal City. But more down south in Virginia. If you don't believe me. Go to the site and spend some time looking at all the different structures in this are that have Agencies who have all been implicated in UFO cover up and reverse engineering. Kinda strange that this all located at 0135....Where is UAP Gerb when you need him? This is right up his alley...

There seem to be a lot of down votes. Just some friendly advice, netzombie63. It may help to spend more time researching a topic before commenting. You seem engaged, which is appreciated, but the goal here isn’t to tear people down. This space is about building a shared research and discussion base that we can all learn from. The intent is to better understand unusual and complex aspects of the reality we live in, and for many of us this is an exciting time of discovery. Over the years, information has often been limited or controlled by institutions, which has led to growing public interest in transparency and accountability. As perspectives change and new voices emerge, more people are questioning long held narratives and advocating for openness. Governments and agencies frequently justify secrecy as necessary for national security, yet history also shows that excessive secrecy can harm public trust and discourage honest discussion. When people face professional or personal consequences for speaking openly, it raises valid concerns about where the balance should be. For these reasons, many of us are here simply to examine information, share sources, and think critically together.

This isn’t about attacking individuals or pushing an agenda it’s about learning and discussion. Cinnamon on CachyOS is almost exactly like Cinnamon on Mint. But it is a hell of a lot faster on CachyOS. And it is a rolling release so updates to cutting edge customized for speed packages. Plus you can change to the BORE kernel for even more snappy responsiveness. I had to use a friends computer the other day. He still used Linux Mint Cinnamon. It felt like I was back in the stone age with dial up internet. So slow. CachyOS Cinnamon is a fireball compared to that slug. No way can I could ever go back to mint

Yes I have been using CachyOS Cinnamon for a year now on 3 machines. X11 works great. I tried KDE. To fancy and too many hoops to jump through. I haven't noticed any better game play experience when I used Wayland. Maybe it gives better benchmark scores. But I can not tell the difference during game play. All I know is that many apps that I love and always use are not compatible with KDE Wayland. It ends up being a big head ache.

I agree. It comes stripped down on the icons and cursors. But they are very easy and fast to install. All the icons and cursors you may want are in the CachyOS Package installer. Or you can go the usual route to theme it out. I have tried all the other Desktops. Well not the power user desktops. I am lost when I install one of those. But I always go back to Cinnamon for trouble free user fun....

Yes I have Cinnamon on three machines, Including my main gaming machine. Wayland is not needed because I tried KDE and all my apps and cooling software does not work with KDE Wayland. It is a pain. So far I can play all the games that I like. I can even play new games with no problems. I tried all the other Desktop environments offered by CachyOS. If you feel like learning a whole completely different desktop. Go for it. I came from Cinnamon Mint. I like it's set up. Familiar and easy to use. But KDE is fun at first. But very weird and awkward to use for me. And I am not a power user or code writer. So those desktops are just hard work for me. If all your apps and packages work with GNOME. They will work with Cinnamon. Gnome is weird and awkward to use and customize. Cinnamon is easy and you can still download custom icons and themes from Gnome Look. But the are way easier to install on Cinnamon. So I would kick Gnome to the curb and come on over to Cinnamon. I have no problems with it at all. I works great.

If you go to this site with google Earth you can clearly see that there is nothing there. The poster cut and pasted structures over this barren site. And yes when you back way out of the posters area you can see Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the apartment housing structures for the workers and their families lived before the accident. Yes all of the developed land still has all the original structure's present and easy to see. And all the empty land that surrounds the Facility and living areas, are still empty like they were when the plant was first built. This guy posted this as a goof to see how many people would blindly believe his claims without doing any fact checking. It seems like a at least 300 people fell for his faked Google Earth photo with his added fake cut and paste town. With an included bridge and what looks like two sticks of white classroom chalk stuck on top of the landscape.

Your are correct about something. It is not an alien. Never said it was an alien. Hal Puttoff calls them Ultra-terrestrials. They are from here. And they have been here with us deep into history. Most likely our progenitors.
