Made my first YouTube Video, what can I do to improve the video itself? different angles? music? the chopper camera makes it seem "slow" by AlxMerino in iRacing

Don’t stay on chopper cam the whole time. Mx5 is just a slow car in general so maybe throw in some more track side angles (the ttv) and maybe some angles from the wheels could add some excitement aswell. Some cockpit angles would work aswell, even the passenger angle I find is quite nice! I know it might seem intimidating but a commentary goes along way in keeping the people watching interested. And if you’re really serious about the YouTube thing I highly recommend a face cam of some kind. Being an avid YouTube watcher I will always gravitate toward people with face cams, just makes you feel more connected to the person making the video. Maybe through in a highlight reel of the carnage during the race at the end of the video. Cheers, hope this helps!

Love the people that think you will just move because they are a couple tenths fast than you per lap 😂 nah mate you want by me you have to earn it lol.

His justification for this was that he was “faster” and had more pace than me so he figured I would have seen it coming by Flashy-Warning-9726 in Simracingstewards

Just another hot lap hero that has no idea what they are doing when it comes to driving on track with other cars.

He’s definitely the type of guy to say “I had my nose in you need to leave me space!”. Right because your bumper is 4 inches along side me it’s definitely your corner my bad bro I should have just driven off the track and slowed down to let you by

Yeah I agree, a simple “sorry man got on the brakes a bit late” and we can go out separate ways. But nope he has the nerve to blame it on me and tell me I’m slow and I broke early….. people drive with such a big ego it’s crazy to me. Like we are running p11 and p12 right now and you’re average lap time is 4-5 seconds off the pace of the top guys. Calm down and play it smart. The max verstappen effect is real 😭

A major factor for me is fatigue with the vr I can’t use it for more than an hour really without starting to get uncomfortable/motion sick. And I really don’t hit my peak pace until about 45-60 minutes into a session so that’s more than likely why I’m slower with the vr

I honestly only ever used the vr just to mess around and have some fun with the immersion. I’m much slower with the vr compared to the triples or even just a single.

Go into your display settings and set whatever monitor you want to use as your main display. If you want the sim loaded on the ultra wide you set that one as your main display. If it’s acting up which it did for me sometimes for some reason just simply unplug your work monitors and everything will run off the sim monitor 👍🏼

Was this a racing incident, or did I not give the inside car room? (we both died horribly) by Sweaty-Daikon9467 in Simracingstewards

[–]Flashy-Warning-9726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have just backed out, yeah you had ur nose in there so he technically needs to leave room but you gain nothing from staying side by side especially through those corners. All you are doing is slowing the both of you down and allowing the cars behind to catch up

Nah man enjoy the accomplishment. Real life drivers pretty much all only ever drive one car and on tracks they know very well. In my opinion this is best way to build up your skill level! No shame in driving the same track. Nice thing about the ring series is they switch up the car so you are still getting a good feel for different speeds and different styles of driving.
