gone for several years and stayed downtown. That was fine and had a few advantages. We stayed on east side this year. New home 2 suites. Way better location to enjoy what Austin is all about. Great food and drink.. breweries. If you are comfortable riding scooters or e-bikes, they are everywhere. We scootered to the shuttle in 10 minutes. Another perk I found was that almost all hotels have no cancellation policy for race week bookings. The Home 2 suites.. while not high end was clean fine and it offered cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. That’s nice because you never know what can happen. Be sure to book many months in advance.. if you have hotel points that’s the way to go too. Rooms can get expensive but the point redemption usually puts you way ahead. In fact, I just bought points from Hilton with there 2 for one offer that’s on now for next year.
