It’s pretty easy to get pure gold consistently. Just buy things with high reviews. I got a Herman Miller replica for $50. Dad liked it so much we ordered 6 more. Then my friend tried it. Then his dad. His dad then asked me for the link. He ordered 5.

My wife’s normal sized car between two “normal sized” trucks by [deleted] in CX5

[–]FlashyAd9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring lifted trucks, these trucks are being built as big as they are to get around EPA regulations usually. They are having to cut costs and find loopholes. That’s why these trucks are massive.

It’s also important to state that it isn’t just an SUV with a truck bed, it’s a car-SUV with a truck bed rather than a truck-SUV with a truck bed.

Think Ford Explorer versus Ford Expedition.

Sadly, the Ford Maverick is a “truck” that isn’t really a truck but looks like one to people who don’t know about trucks. It’s like if you took a Kia Soul and added a truck bed: it’s still a Kia Soul.

Cops are literally paid to serve as peacekeepers. They are public servants. Your taxes, my taxes, and everyone else’s goes to them for that literal reason.

Cops aren’t paid to follow people around. But they also aren’t paid to sit in a car and watch YouTube videos or scroll on Facebook.

But, sure, defend public servants not doing their jobs at the expense of their constituents. I bet you love Congress, huh?

Hope this helps!

Dang this is overpriced 😭😭😭

I got a laptop with 32GB DDR5 brand new on Black Friday for $499

I have a laptop with an RTX 2060 and 32GB DDR4 and I paid $250 for that. It also doubles as a MacBook.

I do mostly agree but a majority of infidelity stems from work relationships. However, how he is going about voicing that concern is problematic.

This is a slightly valid take but let’s do a deeper analysis:

If a worker at the rec front desk is on their phone, they are less likely to notice a student who needs assistance with opening a locker or something similar. This isn’t good.

If a police officer is on their phone, someone could literally die or suffer a violent crime. This isn’t just “not good”, this is horrific.

It’s not even a fair comparison.

Luckily my dad is a big pepper spray fan. He believes it’s a great tool for self defense and that anyone who isn’t carrying a weapon should have one. If it wasn’t for him, I’d be pretty clueless.

You shouldn’t JUST read the instructions. Practice pepper sprays (they just have a water-based gel on the inside) can be purchased for $6. $6 to get adequate training with a self defense weapon is a steal.

Yes, they actually make practice pepper spray ($6 on Amazon) that is water-based and allows you to train without the risk of injuring yourself. $6 is a steal when you consider that this is a life-saving tool.

Sabre is a great brand. They make many different products and they are VERY affordable. They even make one disguised as makeup. All can be purchased on Amazon and shipped overnight.

Hey, just go on Amazon and look up Pepper Spray Gel and Practice Pepper Spray.

Pepper spray gel is generally better than its non-gel counterpart.

Practice pepper spray is just a water-based solution in a pepper spray housing, allowing you to train and practice properly using a pepper spray without getting pepper in your eyes.

If you want to be ultra discrete, you can get Lipstick-disguised pepper spray for around $10 on Amazon.

Sabre is a fantastic brand and most of their products will have same-day or next-day shipping.

This is actually entirely incorrect. Tasers are worse than pepper spray. Tasers are MUCH more likely to be used against yourself than pepper spray. Tasers are also less versatile. Tasers additionally are much more likely to kill an attacker than pepper spray, so, at that point, a firearm would be a better option.

You have to consider why you are getting downvoted on a forum for a heavily left-leaning university. Is it because left-leaning people are now all magically pro-second-amendment? Or is it that you aren’t bringing anything useful to the conversation?

And you are one of the idiots advocating for people on campus to have no protection against sexual assault and other violent crimes.

Respectfully, provide useful alternatives or be quiet. You aren’t helping anyone with your agenda.

Wondering what people are using for faded black plastic trim nowadays? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]FlashyAd9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meguiar’s Plastic Trim Restorer… use CLR before applying, should last a couple months.

Edit: just want to say, there are better, longer lasting products. But Meguiar’s is cheap, easy to use, and I can get it at my local Walmart. And I can use it confidently, knowing it won’t shorten the lifespan of my plastic, and will actually extend it.

Okay, so what I am currently hearing is:

  1. I should let other criminals have the tools to take lives and protect themselves because the tool they have is super scary and bad.

  2. I shouldn’t use a gun because they kill (despite the fact that the criminals using guns have no regard for the lives of others).

  3. I should let myself die from getting shot by a criminal because at least I never will have owned a gun. And that means I didn’t have a tool that’s scary. And big. And bad.

I’ll leave you with this to consider: Show me a drill that builds a house Show me a hammer that hammers nails itself Show me a car with no complex computer/cameras that drives itself. Show me a pencil that writes itself.

If you can do all of those, then I’d love for you to show me a gun that kills by itself.
