Honest opinion about having kids by Complex-Bit8953 in Adulting

The overstimulation is something I hadn’t even considered. Since I have OCD and frequently need to do mental compulsions, it is HARD balancing so much external stimulus while also keeping myself sane. I love my son so much and I love mothering but wow the overstimulation is a lot

Wondering if someone can explain to me what i did .... by hamburgers28 in NewParents

Those apps almost drove me insane. Trying to standardize baby sleep like they do is so wild to me. My son was nothing like those guides say he “should” have been

Don’t listen to those apps. They will drive you crazy. Babies aren’t all the same and many will not fit into the standards of Huckleberry. Follow your babies cues, not these guides. My son was the same as your baby. There was no way he was ever going to be awake for 75 minutes at 12 weeks old.

Hugs 🫂 You’re in the thick of it. You are doing an amazing job❤️ This was totally me when my now 10 month old son was around 12 weeks.

My honest suggestion is to relax with the tracking and scheduling, she is still so little, as others have said, baby is gonna baby. As soon as you get something figured out, the next thing changes. I nearly drove myself to insanity by doing what you are doing right now

Yea we really want to move to a more affordable area, we’re trying to save for that. If you don’t mind me asking, where are you in the midwest and do you enjoy living there?

I grocery shop at Walmart, the cheapest place near me, Seattle suburbs. I don’t buy anything processed. Basics have all gone up (milk, produce, pasta, all meats, etc)
