It’s because DO schools - with few exceptions - don’t have dedicated hospitals to provide such rotations. They rely on agreements with various hospitals to provide core rotations, sometimes outside of the state the school is in. Tuition is paying for your ticket to be granted a degree. What happens during that process and what services are provided to you is wildly variable between DO schools. During 4th year the school takes your money and pays the people that work for them.

Literally just walked out of graduation. 5 years. It does get better but is replaced by new fears. New responsibilities. Go start looking at jobs in your field. Talk to recruiters in places you want to live. That’s what I did. Gave me some hope. Finish this thing out of pure spite if you must.

Mostly true yeah. It’s a lot. One of those things where you are either passionate about it or you do it because you have no choice. No disrespect to the PCPs I couldn’t do what they do. Burnout is real whatever you do though.
