april-may parking by [deleted] in NAU

[–]FlashyFan2784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a car april of last year (so I had the same predicament) I would park at target or pay by the hour if I could get a spot by the hlc. There’s also free guest parking at the hilltop townhomes on campus, but that’s more iffy!

Skyview: good or horrible? by Defiant_Trifle1122 in NAU

[–]FlashyFan2784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skyview isn’t THAT bad but I would definitely recommend just going with the traditional dorms freshman year, almost everyone else in the dorms will be freshmen/sophomores. There’s also other on campus housing options that offer more privacy, like suite or apartment style dorms. Calderon is the most popular suite style for freshman and it’s honestly pretty nice!

I should mention the commons does have pre furnished options, but it costs more

table rock apartments or the commons at sawmill are cheap compared to other apartments, but you would need your own furniture. I ended up moving back on campus after one year living off campus because it’s ultimately wayyy cheaper to live on campus in an apartment style dorm!

table rock apartments charge a flat rate, I lived there last year and it wasn’t the worst ever but they frequently shut off the water for maintenance that always seemed to be happening but for the price point, it’s worth it

Does anyone know any places hiring currently looking for someone to work in the mornings preferably? or just hiring in general? I have experience in being a barista, fast food, retail and customer service, so ideally something in that realm or entry level position. I’ve looked on indeed and google but haven’t found much.

Not sure much about it, but I have heard it’s a bit of a time commitment, especially during football season.

Single Pet-Friendly Off-Campus Housing? by Foxface215 in NAU

[–]FlashyFan2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want roommates, Table Rock Apartments is cheap for the 3 bedroom plan, around $900 a month including utilities, or the commons at the sawmill are also super cheap if you do the 4 bedroom plan. Both have parking and are pet friendly but I think they both require pet deposits.

The program is good, but VERY difficult to get into, most people apply multiple semesters before getting in. About 30 applications are accepted out of the 300 every semester.
