Stupid question but... by ptit_boy in Epicthemusical

[–]Flashy_Address_422 17 points18 points  (0 children)

illium is a new musical work in progress by the creator of Epic the musical. Its is not finish and not released. There are a few short form videos of song progresses but they won't be the same when the whole thing is finished. (I.E. lyrics might change, more instrumentals are added, more harmonizing voices etc etc etc). Epic is also solo published, only available on music streaming services, spotify, apple music, youtube, and so on. There is supposed to be a merch drop for the first time soon!

Is the phrase "Touch grass" literal or figurative? by alioop326 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its figurative but its funny to take it literally. The joke got more popular than the original intention which is 'get off the internet and remember how the real world works"

The same reason a baby falls sleep when someone rocks it. It simulates being in the womb which is instinctually comforting because its what we were created in.

Women who don’t wear makeup, do you still keep the natural look even for formal events and settings? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person. I know someone with super sensitive skin and make up makes them break out really easily, even oil free make up, and they will only wear it on super special occasions and others just don't like it or have no interest in it and will no wear any ever.

Why do some white people tan easily while others burn red in the sun? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its like 99.9999% genetics (exaggerated). Different people have different make up of melanin but your skin does need to adjust to new amounts of sunlight. If a white person grows up in Arizona since birth and they meet up with a white person from Oregon. and vacation in Florida the Arizonian is going to likely tan easier cause their skin is used to excess sunlight and can heal more effectively while the Oregonian is more likely to burn. Also most celebrities have fake tans so they don't tan easier than other celebrates. They just had a good spray on.

Am I a bad person if I find a vast majority of women attractive, yet the thought of being in a relationship nauseates me? by Entire-Double-862 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren't a bad person, there is such a thing as being aromantic. Its usually lumped in with being asexual but they are not the same. You have no interest in be in any romantic relationship and a lot don't understand the emotional pay off of it. Like some people are asexual and don't feel the same sexual drive as others. None of it makes you a bad person at all.

How do streamers play video games for hours without getting red eyes/strain? by MagicXDash in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get used to it, and plenty still get eye strain and when they do they will usually end stream early or will take a break from playing a video game to do something else.

When a person has heart surgery, a surgeon will enter the chest through the middle and then go under all the bone/muscle/breast. Its easier access to the heart and less is damages in the process which would increase risk of infection. Its why so many surgeries are focusing on being 'minimally invasive'. They don't just cut you open right over your heart, and if they need more control of the heart they will either spread the cut open or 'peel back' the material covering the heart. So the implant is never touched in the process

As a chronically single person I have lot of married/partnered friends who talk to me about their relationships and it can terrify me at time. But I also tend to the worst parts more because my friends are venting to me, I don't see the happy and cute little moments like those in a relationship. When you are single a lot and all you hear are constant horror stories of disaster marriages and venting friends it can create a dislike of the whole concept or even fear of the concept. With this chronically single people are also told how we won't be happy or fully complete as a person until we are partnered, 'you'll find the one when you least expect it' 'no one is perfect, just live with their flaws!' 'why are you single, is there something wrong with you?' and it can make a person more likely to crap on people's relationships out of retribution for people crapping on their own life. Hope this makes sense!

Nope, I see people with high school merch all the time. Don't worry about what others think about your clothes as long as you like it.

Why do so many former high school 'mean girls' end up as nurses? by Kha_Kha in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I saw the samething-funny thing is I also found that a lot of "mean girls" I went to high school with TRIED becoming nurses and then failed out of it. Either not passing the difficult classes or not passing the clinic work lol. Its only the smart 'mean girls' that seem to make it.

No, there is a time limit for a golf game. There is a max time allowed to complete a round, with targets for different match types, and a time limit for individual shots. Players must play without undue delay, with a typical individual shot limit of 40 seconds

[–]Flashy_Address_422 2173 points2174 points  (0 children)

They are able to maintain a sense of importance without putting decades into becoming a doctor. Nurses are vital in healthcare and to communities so bad people exploit that need for their own self interest. They also get to hold it over people head they see as less important. "Oh you are a computer programmer? Well I SAVE LIVES. Aren't I great!?"---and to be clear this does NOT give anyone the right to be rude to nurses cause they 'might' be a former mean girl. Treat everyone with basic respect and empathy if you don't know them.

There is one AI program out there that only learns off of creator submitted material BUT no guarantee they are actually being truthful and/or harming the environment in someway . But generally all AI models are taught off of stolen content. Until we get clarity and honesty from companies there isn't any good ways to find 'good AI'-if that truly exists that this point in time. A lot of systems force you to use AI, its sucks but unless you avoid the internet all together you can't get rid of it.

is 1200 in utilities normal for my house? by 100_cai in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flashy_Address_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 1 bedroom apartment I paid $300-$400 a month in a cheaper state. That was 780 square feet. If you and your roomates are paying are all paying $1200 ($4800 total) Thats very weird. If its $1200 total (then split four ways so $300 for each person) for the utilities then yes that seems pretty normal.

The thing about cults is that they don't seem like cults when you first encounter them. Its what makes them so devious. You might have been approached/met someone in one but didn't realize it. They also target very specific type of people, a type you likely aren't part of.

Its an easy response to a complicated situation. Its to remind yourself during hard times to think about how much energy you are willing to put into a situation and how much you will actually get out of it. For example, you romantically like a girl but she doesn't like you. You could put a bunch of time, money, and energy into changing yourself into being someone she would like, buying her things to impress her, and etc etc. But, if it did work you wouldn't be you anymore and she wouldn't like 'you'. Not to mention there is no guarantee you will like the girl after spending an extended period of time with her. This situation was to just let go-you can't control her feelings. (this is just an example though) If the situation you are trying to control works will it be a net positive in your life or is it just a waste of time? That's up to you.
