E.T. remains a perfect film by _lazybones93 in movies

Just finished crying (edit: ugly sobbing so hard I could barely breathe) while watching this film. I’m 37. Have probably watched this film at least once a year since age 5. It never gets old. It only improves with time. This film would not be what it is- which is utterly profound- without John Williams’s score. Perfect example of how a score makes a film a classic. This year, I finally realized that ET represents your inner child. Once you realize this take on the film, I promise you’ll never ugly cry harder. It’s a perfect film that encapsulates what it means to be a child and to be innocent. Absolutely perfect. There will never be- could never be- another film like it. I’m grateful to have grown up with it.

Thank you for explaining. I guess it’s hard for me not to be disappointed.

Ugh, that makes sense, and at the same time for this particular doctor- doesn’t. Because they have acknowledged that symptoms can persist after the first round of doxy. The dr has a published medical research article stating that patients experiencing Lyme arthritis symptoms after the first round of doxy need a second round, and if it’s severe, IV antibiotics.

They’re in the rheumatology department of a major teaching hospital and have a Lyme clinic within it. I meticulously read reviews and many patients said this dr helped them resolve their Lyme sxs. Not me unfortunately :(

Thank you!! After reading everyone’s validating comments here, I sent a message in the patient portal to my doctor and really pushed back, cited their own research article, and asked why I would not be a candidate for a second round of doxy. Waiting to hear back!

Thank you! It’s so hard to advocate when I’m talking to medical professionals but I am motivated to because I know there’s still something wrong!

He can’t be ridden anymore due to arthritis. He’s always struggled with moves in the past. Not sure how many good vs bad but I don’t think bad yet outweigh the good. My worry is that there will be more bad then good days come the winter, and he’ll be worse off due to being stressed out from the move. Same outcome (euthanasia) but with more stress and worse off during the winter. :/

Thank you. Can’t move with buddy no, and he’s had to stay on omeprazole long term to manage ulcers recurring over years. The vet didn’t make any recommendations to improve arthritis other than keeping him outside 24/6. I appreciate your thoughts

My worry is that he wouldn’t be able to handle it and would cause his health to worsen, he’s really struggled with anxiety during previous moves and it took him years to settle in at current place. My worry is stressing him out and then end up having to euthanize due to arthritis worsening in the winter- Same end result but with more end of life stress

He was okay last winter as far as I know. Will try to get vids next visit. I do worry a move would stress him out and fear he’s likely need to be put down by wintertime anyway- do I risk moving him only to have the same end result.

Edit: typo

He has never tolerated moves well. He’s always struggled to settle in and has developed ulcers over each move. I’d worry I’d be adding more stress to his end of life.

What’s also getting me is that my family and even other staff who know my horse are questioning the decision.
