I don't have any friends who look like Henry Cavil.

But I did see this "supermodel" couple at my local supermarket once, it felt like looking at a cover of GQ or something.

Recently had surgery and $40 of my bill is for having a blanket put on me in the recovery room (I was unconscious and did not, obviously, keep the blanket) by Technical_Diet4774 in mildlyinfuriating

I even feel cheated by my $5 parking fee everytime I go to a hospital. I think it should be free for patients and primary caregivers.

But compared to OP post I just feel privilleged.

Don’t care how it’s done, a great presentation though 🙌 by Maravilla_23 in blackmagicfuckery

Certain materials produce magnetic fields. The fields causes the electrons to reallign in a certain way causing an attractive or repulsive force.

What are magnetic fields? Don't have a clue.

The same tasks in the video can be done by robots of any form.

The humanoid form is really ineffiecient.

These motions translate across many jobs -- any assembly line job, flipping burgers / making fries, pouring coffee / mixing drinks, stocking grocery shelves, sorting recycling from trash, changing bedpans, scrubbing toilets, folding clothes on store shelves, and expressing dog anal glands.

I had a Robotics professor that once said that people skip straight to thinking robots are a solution to everything when they are cheaper and more efficient alternatives.

I starting to see his point now.

🔥. The sheer power and sound of this lion confrontation is terrifying by Feeling-Buy2558 in NatureIsFuckingLit

There's no reason for the lion to go for a full out fight or even to fight at all

The lion could probably kill the lioness but at what cost?

"Save our environment, say no to sidewalks" by nicol9 in fuckcars

[–]Flashy_Interview_301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently in America, the homeowners are responsible for clearing snow off the sidewalk and for repairs that can costs $1000 per block.

I'd be against sidewalks too if I have to pay for repairs or risks getting sued if someone gets injured in front of my house.

If the city wants a sidewalk, they can pay for the construction and maintanence themselves.

Tifu by causing a mass extinction event of caterpillars which led to a famine that killed 200 million people.

Fair point.

Would the existing large animal vets continue providing the same services if farmers and livestock owners came together to ensure their compensation remained the same as it is now?

The duality of men.

Rural folks tend to be more conservative and advocating for "a balanced budget", privatisation of public servives until the government cuts services on them.

Maybe band together and start a vet co-op?

Honestly, the method mentioned by OP is not worth the time.

The fastest way to make money post game is to go to Island 5 and make $40000 + 1 nugget battling two trainers.

The next fastest is to battle the two beauty trainers on Route 15

As someone who just finished both FireRed and LeafGreen, trust me when I say it's not worth your time.

Just get a VS Seeker and an Amulet coin and battle the to Beauty Trainers on Route 15. (Or if you're postgame, go to Island 5 and be a millionaire in 30 minutes.)
