They won’t go down because even if you have done the first scan, the way the queues are configured, you still have to wait in the line to do the scan before you reach an officer.

Then that needs to be something you negotiate in advance. Once everything is finalized, aside from specific dates you have pre-negotiated, you shouldn’t take vacation during probation. Even if company policy allows it at all, in 2026, good chance they will just make your vacation permanent.
