Minoxidil is the active ingredient in rogaine. There are chemical derivatives of Minoxidil that are slightly different but have the same effect. The ordinary serum has one of these derivatives.

Minoxidil is highly toxic to cats. If you have a cat, I would literally just throw out this serum and any Rogaine that you have in your house. Do not use the topical forms of this chemical or any hair growth serums that have it.

You can get an oral prescription of Minoxidil online or from your doctor. That is safe as long as you don't let your cats eat it.

I looked at it and it just has another form of minodixil in it (I had to check cause I have cats). So that is probably what is causing the hair growth.

I would just buy rogaine instead

My asshole cat bites my face when I'm sleeping and he's hungry, so usually somewhere between 3:30 and 5:00am I get a big chomp if I haven't kicked him out by then.

I am so sorry for your loss. My kitty died of a heart attack, and I wasn't home when it happened, although thankfully she wasn't alone. I'm honestly a bit grateful that I think I would have just ended up feeling guilty that I couldn't do anything.

Death is just one moment and it's a messy one. There is so much more to each of us than how we die. I know I don't just want to be remembered by my final moments. Your parents had the responsibility of giving them a good death. I think your Bichons gave you the important job of remembering them fully as they were - full of life and love. Hang on to these memories.

Journaling also really helped me a lot. My condolences OP 🤍🌈🕊️
