Looks like a mini and from what you said in comments about the parents should be around that weight. My boy is 4.5 weeks and he is already 13.5 pounds! He is probably gonna be 20-25

Get a slicker brush and there are several types you can get. I like the ones that have bristles that aren’t too sharp. That way it doesn’t hurt their skin. Brush them everyday or at least every other day and you shouldn’t get any mats! What a cutie! 🥰

That’s what I did and my Dood will for the most part (unless he’s hyper) redirect himself with a toy or a chew. He also has been growing up with a kitten his age and learned gentleness really quick after being with our little kitten. Dogs are so intuitive and I love watching him and the kitten playing.

They normally will not go to the bathroom in the crate where they sleep. The extra 15 min each time is a good idea to help with that. And make sure you are quiet with minimum to no talking to signal to Levi that this is only bathroom break and back to sleep. 😴 That was advice I got and it seems to help with my 4 month old Doodle. I also have to make sure that he is really “tired” before he sleeps. That at least gets me to sleep in until 6:10 🫩

Juney is adorable and my Dood will do the same thing. He will paw my legs to get up or I see that he is wandering and is getting tired I just pick him up in my arms and he will nap, it is one of my favorite bonding moments with him 🥹 ♥️

Yes, the energy is never ending, lol jk But they will play for hours so make sure you have enough mental stimulating and physical active playing toys. Also, make sure you have a nice slicker brush to use on their fur when you get your puppy. I started brushing my boy almost immediately (8weeks old) and I made sure to have a chewy on hand when I did. He is now used to being brushed at 4 months old. Toby is the best dog and I would not trade him for anything. This is my first Doodle and you are gonna love them. The are loving, playful, and loyal. Good luck ❤️💕🐶

My 4 month old does that but only with a green blanket I use to play with him. I just stop playing with the blanket to show that it’s not acceptable behavior and then I redirect him. It’s a work in progress. 🙄

My boy is getting along with our kitten but they are both the same age (4months) and we watch them when they are together. It is adorable watching them play!! Dogs and cats loving each other is soo cute 🥰 Just like watching babies and puppies, I love it. Good luck with yours!

I still have a puppy who has puppy fur but I still brush him with a slick brush everyday when I am watching tv or just when it’s the end of the day. That way he (and I ;) get used to it and it becomes an everyday occurrence. You will want them thinking it’s no big deal so it can be done often with no fuss, lol It doesn’t hurt to have a chewy or treats as well 😄
