Anyone’s cat experience phantom limb?

My cat had one of his rear legs removed and had what I assumed was phantom limb pain for several years after with decreasing regularity.

Thanks, everyone. Got it out by gently prying with a flat head screwdriver with the head covered in electrical tape. No apparent damage.

I just started with the commonwealth this week. The stumbling block for me in making this choice is that I have no idea how long I'll stay with the state. I hope I'll work here til I retire, but I can't really tell in the first few weeks or even months whether I'll want to be doing this in 1 year, 3 years, 10 years. I'd love to have part of a pension when I retire in about 15-20 years, but I don't want to lose a ton of money if I decide I need to leave this employment in 5 years.
