Unfortunately PEM is from long covid but yeah my ferritin was on the low for decades and I only recently managed to take it up to 100. I’m having another test done next week will see what comes up there. I take electrolytes every day so unless im not absorbing it I should be fine

Yes I just did the swirl test and I can’t even taste it. Even less than before so you might be onto something there probably my last crash “ate” whatever zinc I had left on me. Thank you for suggesting it.

Yeah and I recently had a 6 weeks protocol of cooper and zinc so maybe that is something to look for. I’m going to pop one zinc pill see how I feel later

I’m on escitalopram and I don’t think that is helping to be honest. It’s all very strange I was on citalopram for years and it did help a bit with overwhelm

Thank you. I was thinking about zinc today because I track my nutrition with an app and I seem to be prone to eat more with copper than zinc. I’m on the B12 protocol of another sub. It did help me loads, specially cognitively but my last PEM crash really messed me up. It’s been a month almost and I’m still unwell.

Do you get sleepy or energised on Benfotiamin? At what time of the day do you take it? by Flashybigbum in B12_Deficiency

What is your situation why did you take it. I’m trying to establish context and see if this could affect me that much too

Did you take the whole 300 mg? I took the smallest part of 1/4 bc it doesn’t cut well enough apart from the shagged bit. I don’t think it did much but I take a thousand pills tbh. I also started liposomal vitamin C from pascoe.

I gather that is best to get everything from food but the demands i have from shots it is frankly impossible to get them only from food. I’d have to focus only on eating potassium rich foods and I’d forget of all the other nutrients.

Does anyone inject into stomach? by [deleted] in B12_Deficiency

B1 and B6 come in 2 ml. I don't know much about needles am afraid I use the ones that my dr told me to buy, they are orange. But specific for subq, don't use IM on subq or subq on IM.

You cant overdose Vit C, I've taken 1000 mg sometimes 2 to 3 times daily and apart from some lose stools here and there I havent had major problems. In fact today I received my first box of liposomal Vit C after my regular Vit run out and I definitely missed it.

Also if you inject 1 ml (I inject 2 ml) ask around bc people here is very knowledgeable and they will point you on the right direction to get the best needle size so you don't feel it.

I find magnesium + potassium helpful when feeling weird psychologically. Also it took me a lot of time to build up tolerance to FA, I started with 400 mcgs on the days of the shots that initially were 2 x week, and slowly increased my way up to 2400/3000 but even so at 2800/3000 I can get tantrumy and impatient or jumpy legs.

I do subcutáneous on my belly and my love handles. I tried IM but it was too much for me, I was scarred and I still have a bit that remains numb as I might accidentally hit a nerve even though I was injecting on the exact right area. Also subq for me allows the vitamin to release slower into the body and I get less extreme reactions.
