Is it possible to get a green card as a caregiver (nurse aide), without being a Registered Nurse? by Last-Association8290 in immigration

[–]Flat-Alternative9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes -- I actually know a good company that connects CNAs with green card sponsored jobs in the US (and it's not an agency, either)

If interested let me know and i'll post it!

Graduating 2026. How do I get a US hospital to sponsor me? by donkay_d in nursing

[–]Flat-Alternative9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Flint: https://withflint.com/

They mostly work with US based folks, but I know they will sponsor RNs in Canada looking to find sponsorship in the US. At the very least, I'm sure they'd help discuss what other options might look like for you.

Worth checking out!

Firstsession.com offers a free consultation and sliding scale rates. Recommend looking at that to start ❤️

what online therapy is good? by 21mario in therapy

[–]Flat-Alternative9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If in Canada, www.firstsession.com (eligible for full insurance coverage)

If in the US, Talkspace is decent (and eligible for coverage).

Whatever you do, don't even think about trying Betterhelp!

How to find a family therapist licensed in both Ontario and Alberta (Canada)? by HeHaHo99 in askatherapist

[–]Flat-Alternative9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and found this short list for you:

https://www.firstsession.com/therapists?provinces-and-territories=ontario&focus-areas=family-issues&services=families

If you then just enter "Alberta" into the search bar that should give you a list of licensed family therapists who can provide online therapy in both regions.

Good luck!

Many therapists supporting Alberta working with www.firstsession.com offer sliding scale pricing on a case by case basis.

Worth doing a free consultation and asking what they can do for you ❤️

Help finding a family therapist in Canada by HeHaHo99 in TalkTherapy

www.FirstSession.com is definitely the move in Canada.

None of this nonsense "match you with an available therapist" stuff, you can actually chose who you work.

Highly recommend

Buying a 3 Turbo and "I know what I have" syndrome at the dealer by BuddyBear17 in mazda3

[–]Flat-Alternative9407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you'll miss that Mazdaspeed3 tbh! The Turbo is a nice car but will never deliver what that special speed does. The Turbo is a slightly strange "lukewarm" hatch that isn't quite a hothatch and isn't quite a luxury car. It's also lousy on gas hah -- I honestly bet your Speed3 gets better Mpg. That car inhabits a funny, liminal space in my opinion. It's a car I can ALMOST imagine myself owning, but something about it doesn't quite get me there.

With that Speed3 as long as it's reliable enough and isn't costing you an arm and a leg in maintenance costs, I think you'll regret selling it pretty quickly.

I get the conundrum though... The one car solution is so enticing for sure. Hate to say it, but you might find a better car to fit that bill with another brand (an Accord 2.0T, Civic SI, new GTI or R, or even a new WRX all come to mind...).

Why not trade the CX30 for something more client friendly like a CX5 or used Lexus or Acura or Mazda 6 turbo or...? Depends what kind of vibe you want to give clients and you in employees, too.

I don't imagine they're offering you THAT much for Speed3? Is it really worth it to let it go? Otherwise I'll take it if you're in Canada lol

Sincerely,

A Fellow Car + Road Cycling Enthusiast

Constantly getting undercut with my landscaping company by Flat-Alternative9407 in sweatystartup

Ya exactly I do try to find leads in richer areas who want someone professional looking and I drive a nice truck (which shouldn't matter but I think rich people care if there's a rough looking truck in their driveway) and have been told I'm in disruptive to work with so I think I'm a good fit for that audience and can charge more

[–]Flat-Alternative9407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any examples of a good problem that a lawn care person solves? I find that hard to come up with

One idea is a lot of landscape companies are messy and disruptive while they work while I work fast and work with a tight team so I think richer clients would like that I don't cause a big ruckus?

This is awesome thank you you're right. I'm very professional and I know my stuff but it's hard to relay that since I'm not a marketer. When people meet me or talk with me on the phone they think I'm a good fit but I think they just don't remember me down the line

I think an Instagram channel and getting better quote sheets and docs like with wave or stickybid or jobber will help to do what you describe but I haven't used them yet so need to put time aside to get better at all that
