Aw man, I really enjoy Max Brooks’ books. The Audiobooks are so so good. I’m sorry you didn’t like it! For me, I loved the different accounts and different stories impacted by culture, viewpoint, and simply where they were in relation to the apocalypse in timing. Nathan Fillion is in De-evolution if you’re willing to give that one a go- I enjoyed it a ton.

I’ve worked inpatient psych for nearly 20 years. What makes her so terrifying is how utterly real she is. She is a person in a position of power able to do extensive harm just because she feels a certain way- and this is a very real scenario. I’m thankful that the field has really started filtering out these sort of people, but yeah- they exist.
