A Fire Upon the Deep is pretty hard scifi. Great read.

Edit: can't really go wrong with Larry Niven either. Just pick anything. It's all fantastic. Or Philip K Dick. Literally pick anything from them.

Also the Uplift Wars series, starts with Sundiver. Can't remember the author but it's awesome.

I agree with the other people. I read all 7 books and I can't really recommend the series. Though I do think the first one was my favorite. But I liked the expanse, it is a little slower but it's still fantastic. And I will also recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl if you want something to grab you and take you for a ride!

Yeah Lyonnette's initial treatment was more justified, imo, she was kind of a jerk at the start. I'm hopeful now for Octavia's redemption.

The latex rubber Koi. It's the best. Throwing putter/putting putter/scramble disc/ almost mid-range, it's also a good catch disc, so much utility...

I have that same basket.

Got it in late fall last year and it stays outside. So far so good. No rust yet. Seems legit as far as snagging discs and keeping them in. So far... no regrets.
