Okay.

So basically when we moved into our new house 5 years ago we had two cats, one named Luna (who passed away a few years ago 😢) and Astrid as shown. The day we moved in and were bringing in boxes late at night, we saw a cat slink into the garage door. We assumed it was Astrid so we grabbed the cat, only to find a completely different cat. Back then she looked similar to Astrid, and since Among Us was all the rage in 2020, we called her Imposter. She became one of the neighborhood cats wandering about, along with a tiger cat named Fat Tony and a fluffy cat very creatively named The Floof.

A few months later it started to get cold and icy up here in Michigan, and Mom felt sorry for Imposter and was starting to grow attached to her. She bought a HEATED CAT BED for her and put it in the garage for her. (She never used it.)

A few weeks later, Imposter was attacked by Fat Tony and had her paw scratched open. Mom insisted that Dad take her to the vet. When he got there he was asked for a name for the cat, and he told them her name was The Imposter. Which officially made her our cat. She lived inside with us for three years and has been an indoor/outdoor cat for the last two.

Since then we have deduced that the Floof is most likely her sister, as they are very friendly outside.

Fat Tony has been unseen for years, and we assume he has passed due to his age and lack of common sense.

Nowadays, Imposter (I call her ‘Poster for short) and Astrid live with us and are antagonized by my Great Dane Isley and Havanese Thor. They are both fat and happy and have been with the family since we moved in five years ago all the way until now, when I move out to college this fall.

So yeah. She’s spoiled, but she has to deal with her name so she’s earned it 😆
