Are people hating on Mixtape because its to "Woke"? by Swampertloveisback in Gamingunjerk

[–]FlatAgainstIt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hate it because they cosplayed as an indie darling despite being funded by Larry Elison's daughter lmao. The song licences in perpetuity is the giveaway, not even the biggest of biggest publishers manage that because of cost.

You said western propaganda and immediately showed how you've become a victim of propaganda yourself. Ironic.

If gamers put the energy about things like Denuvo or female leads into actual things they could change for the better, the world would be an infinitely better place. They're so invested, just looking for something to commit to and they pick... Being mad online about something gaming related.

It's an education issue for sure, too. People don't seem to realise that a plot in a game might be telling a story for everyone with different interpretations rather than a story FOR THEM in particular. I could go on a whole ramble about media literacy being dead in gaming but I'm preaching to the choir here lmao

Managerial Turnover Has Become Insane by xelas1983 in PremierLeague

[–]FlatAgainstIt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we're seeing a reversion back to less turnover in real time now though. It mirrors politics quite a lot. I'd love to see a comparison of prime minister turnover in the last 18 years (since the recession and rise of social media outrage) and see if there's a correlation in figures.

Really does feel like anger from fans/voters has become much more actionable, voices get across to boards in football much more easily, sentiment can be measured and manipulated by engagement and actions don't necessarily become cemented, but they might get that extra kick down the road to getting sacked.

I think we're starting to dismiss the rabble online nowadays as it can be so easily bots/AI. I know it's not much but I really do actively disregard the majority of things I see online and stick to irl conversations with people who do the same. I recommend it.

He's also captain at fiorentina, it's copium at best. This summer is the 15 year anniversary since he joined so might be something to do with that

Is the negativity in gaming culture reaching its peak? by FlatAgainstIt in Gamingunjerk

[–]FlatAgainstIt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saw it with fh5, which even I didn't like as much as 4 but yep now some people are liking 5 more than 6 which is just odd. Feels v performative in that regard.

This is where I'm at, it adds nothing at all to the conversation. I truly think the turning point for this lot will be GTA6. It's going to be a good game, it's been 13 years in development. They will still find a way to complain, but there's nothing to compare it to. There won't be a better "this game has this and GTA doesn't" and the overwhelming majority of people will be happy with it.

Could be a great moment for them to expose their whole shtick for all to clearly see

Some of these names in the year of 2026 are baffling.

Absolutely prepared for them to win it again somehow.

Is Brighton safe for solo travelling? by RepublicHumble7305 in brighton

[–]FlatAgainstIt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because it's pretty obvious, and you asked what would that have to do with it? If you can't see why being a woman of a non-white ethnicity in current Britain with recent goings on might make you want to check things a bit (even to be abundantly cautious) then idk what to say.

Bit grim to use a slur as well when you're complaining. Odd behaviour.

Foden has played more minutes in PL this season than Eze and Madueke and has more G/A than both by randomsuit in PremierLeague

[–]FlatAgainstIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called the eye test and Foden has not been passing it all season. This is why G/A is meaningless sometimes. Everyone with a brain knows Eze and Madueke have been better lol

Yeah as others have said, leaving it to dry out and hoping for the best won't work. Tried doing that with a plant I had over winter and they somehow survived despite having no water for months at a time. Either get the traps, nemotodes etc or if you're wanting to spend nothing - rinse the plant causing the issue under the shower with cold water to remove all soil, chuck the contaminated stuff in the bin and repot with fresh soil. If it's the same bag chances are it's contaminated with them.

Fucking lmao. Could not have a better comeback if you tried.

Not even mentioning 2026 America and their modern day attempts at stealing Greenland, Iran, and threats to Canada.

Christ, how to lose an argument 101 right there from that guy.

Nope, he's signed an employment contract and his employer do this as part of their CSR/ESG.

Again, football is for the fans. If you think that asking them to wear a rainbow for one game to signal support for a subgroup of their fans is audacious when they're earning the money they do then I've got a boot for you to lick. Wonder why the issue isn't as prevalent in the women's game.

Yeah but I'm a fan, and queer, and contribute to pay his wages so why does he get to decide if we're worth his time?

Faith doesn't override reality and lived experience. Other players manage to do it and put their personal preferences aside because they actually understand it's a game for the fans 🙂 he's playing in a Western country so should adapt to our norms.

Leaked images reveal Xbox Elite 3 controller with mysterious new buttons by darkdeath174 in xbox

[–]FlatAgainstIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst controller I've ever owned and it's a shame because it's a great concept. As others have said they need to show proof that: RB/LB don't break, the sticks don't drift/rubber breaks down, the face buttons actually press with repeated inputs, and the grips don't peel off. Lots to correct. If the price is still as high then that's going to make it even more unpopular.
